Well, I was only suggesting increasing the SRM3 rounds. I mean to be honest, I would shave the armor down to so you could have 9-10 shots for the Chemical ML and SRM3 each, but that's just me. Each SRM3 shot is only going to be 25kg each. If you insist on having the armor levels where they are, just go with ERSL and SRM3(10), and there you go. Of course now the design starts looking suspiciously like half of a Delphyne 2...
However, I'm of the opinion that the best generalist Proto is the Centaur 4 and I'll stand by that. Since it has two ammo bins for its SRM1s, you can fill one with inferno and the other with smoke rounds, or whatever you like.
Although to be perfectly honest, while I want to like the idea of a generalist Proto, I don't think that it's a good idea. I prefer each Protomech design to serve a particular niche and be optimized for that task (scouting, harassing, battle, fire support, etc), while the "generalist" function is performed by the point or star as a cohesive unit.
