sub-capital weapons: required gunners? (answered)

I have scoured Total Warfare, Strategic Operations, Tactical Operations, Sarna, and this forum. Are sub-capital weapons "capital", "regular" (heavy), or something else in terms of gunners required for a bay?

They are capital and require 1 for 1 according to my reading.

Specifically this sentence in the construction rules for Sub-Capital Weapons on page 154 of TacOps: AUE:

Sub-Capital Weapons are mounted on any permissible aerospace unit using the same rules for standard capital weapons, including
rules pertaining to gunnery crew needs, targeting system limits, minimum ammunition needs and so forth.
