Had a larger turnout than I had expected, lots of fun we had 7 players on the board at one point.
And so it begins, light mechs all over the place.

The middle of the map became a mech graveyard.

Brutal carnage.

Our first medium on the board enters the raging furball in the middle.

Ongoing chaos.

It got pretty crowded at the middle. I need to get some markers for dead mechs it seems.

Crusader comes onto the board with a clear LOS to a Phoenix Hawk.

As you can see, terrain was a combination of Hotz Mat and Heroscape tiles, with twisted wire trees I made. We had a few veterans and some new players, with quite a few expressing an interest in the game. I'm hoping that I can drum up some more interest in the area and start running campaigns. I want to say "Thank you" to Faithless for making the drive to Lawton from Oklahoma City, Amanharan for the help he provided answering my questions and for providing me with materials and inspiring me to start doing this locally, and Carolina Comics for graciously hosting the game.

I had a great time. It was a special treat that Orville showed up. I swear he looked the same as he did back in the late 90's. Dave had not played since highschool either. So, that was pretty cool. Thanks for getting this setup, and I look forward to attend future events.

Looks like a lot of fun, how long did the grinder last?

We started actually play at maybe 1:30pm and lasted until nearly 6pm.

I plan on. I'll be running another grinder next month, then either a third and final grinder before a campaign come February or start a campaign in February. Depends on turn out. The good news is the store owner was asking me what products should be stocked for Battletech so sometime soon they'll start carrying stock for the game.

Good to see you getting started out. If you are interested in working on an Agent application sometime in the future amanharan and I can help you with that.
