And if the ejection seat is actually standard sized, the overall size would be about 17m long, with a wingspan of ~15m? ???
Hmmm, interesting. Thanks for that. O0
Well, depends on how you look at it.
If you're going to approx the size of a standard-sized aerospace fighter resembling the
Sabutai, you're correct. 17-18m length, 15-16m wingspan.
If you're however planning to put a standard-sized ejection seat in a
Sabutai, just because the pilot is not of the fighter pilot phenotype, that,
of course, wouldn't change the fighter's size at all. ;)
Actually, I'm working on a top-down view of the
Sabutai - just could need a while because I'm in quite some, let's say, work-life balance hassle right now. :P
As a side note: I was thinking about what to use as a launch bay standard size. I mean, of course, the
Riever and the
Chippewa as flying-wing designs
wouldn't be able to launch from a bay of, let's say, just 20m across as their wingspan surely lies above that value. That of course infers what's to use as a maximum
wingspan for aerospace fighters
without obvious mechanisms to fold wings.
