The original question was answered in this thread: http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=51081.0

A part of the answer stated the following:

q) To provide this benefit does the building need to have a CF high enough to support the weight of the WiGE despite it being airborne?
a) Yes.  If a WiGE attempts to pass over a building whose CF is less than the WiGE's tonnage, the building collapses, and the WiGE drops one level also.
For multi-level buildings, only the top level collapses.)

If the emphasized part states what exactly what it was intended to state, then it should be specified what happens to CF of the building. Would be strange if nothing does. It would be also strange if it drops to zero, but all the levels except the top one are still standing.

Even if thee Advanced Building Rules were implied, a collapse of the top level should probably affect CF of other levels.

We are updating our previous answer (as seen in reply 15 of the previous post you linked to):

A WiGE collapses the entire building (not just the roof) if its tonnage x 0.25 exceeds the CF of a building it is passing over.  If it lands on said building, then of course its full tonnage applies.
