Ibex and other HB units
« on: 08 February 2011, 16:59:10 »
So i've been trying to figure out a few things about the Ibex (militarized) out of HBHM.  I noticed there isn't a listed BV.  The tiny weight of the unit makes me think it could easily be used to form a motorized/mechanized platoon.

The Ibex carries up to 7 troopers, 1/4 of a foot or motorized platoon.  Does that mean I could carry a squad of jump troopers?  It lists passengers, not tonnage.

So,I guess i'm asking how this unit is used on the tabletop.  This, the World Rover and Pintel from HBHD.

Just call it Mechanized Infantry (wheeled) under TW rules.  Vees like the Ibex or the Vees in HBHD are good examples for that those units use for transport.

Only if you want to do a ATOW game use the stats of the vees.

What he said. My usage of an Ibex unit involves a Mechanized(Wheeled) platoon with King Davids backing up the primary weapon of my choice(usually AX-22s).
