List of how to calculate to hit numbers
« on: 30 September 2019, 11:38:07 »
I think this list of calculating the to-hit numbers for air-to-ground and ground-to-air is accurate.  (If you can understand this list of course).

For air to ground, I am listing altitude limitations and changes based on the attack type.
The modifier you need to accept based on the attack type.
If the target movement and terrain matter I have those boxes open.  (If there is a zero, then movement and terrain have no effect.)

Ground to air:
1.  You need to determine distance to aircraft  (To determine short, medium, long)
2.  If the target is NOE there is a penalty to hit
3.  Angle of attack
4.  Attacker's movement
5.  Other attacker's modifiers

Please feel free to comment if this accurate or if I am missing some information.
I bought the Record sheets from Catalyst so now I can include aerospace attacks to my battletech games.
But the aerospace rules are confusing (in my opinion), so I need to create this cheat sheet.

Thank you again.

Is the spreadsheet list is reasonably accurate?
