This fortnight, we look at the Templar family of 'Mechs, used mostly by House Davion, namely the Templar and its descendants, the Templar III and the Pendragon.  (And, Davion fans, why is there no Templar II?)

Being relatively new 'Mechs, each 'Mech model only has a few minis released:
  • Templar TLR1-O Prime (20-959)
  • Templar III TLR2-O Prime (20-5132), C (BT-421), and D (BT-423)
  • Pendragon PDG-1R (BT-318) and PDG-3R (BT-354)
Only the Templar has painted examples on Camo Specs Online (and the page for the miniature itself isn't working at the time of writing).

Please post any miniatures you'd like to share.  We'd love to see them!

As always, thank you for reading and a special thank you to those who post!

Our next fortnights will be:
  • Clan (9/24): Mist Lynx (Koshi)
  • Inner Sphere (10/8): Cataphract

Edit: I missed the Templar III minis that were released at GenCon this year.

The wall ... of Templars!

I love the Templar, while detesting the undersized, static legs provided. SO I subbed my own, from MW:DA Raider minis.

In chronological order, a Templar Prime of the  5th Crucis Lancers, a home-brew MW4: Mercs (aka David White) version Templar, in roughly the D config (LGRs & X-LPL, but all in the arms); and a Templar C of the 42nd Avalon Hussars.

And a trio from the 2nd Crucis Lancers: Templar E, Templar I, and Templar H. Special place in my heard for the H, it was a design I snuck in. Point man from Hell!

And in case anyone wondered what happened to all those Templar legs and Raider torsos ...

The headcanon is that they were scratchbuilds on New Avalon during the Blakist invasion; 240 SFEs powering an 80 ton chassis based off assorted parts available. Each featured an UAC-20 on the right arm, then whatever else was on hand - a gauss rifle, RAC-5, or HPPC & ML, respectively. Fun nonetheless.

Excellent mods WT!

I certainly like the more animated legs you swapped for instead of the static standing legs.

That H config looks just MEAN.

Thanks for sharing.
