Chicagoland October Game: The Annual Haunting
« on: 09 October 2018, 17:07:24 »
In case you hadn't heard already, the annual Chicagoland Halloween game will take place on Saturday, October 20th.

At the moment all you need to know is that the game will start 10:30ish (just as soon as I can get stuff set-up after the store opens at 10am).

You will play one mech at a time but may bring multiple mechs (to spawn back in with when you die).

As always, Halloween themed paint jobs are always a plus.

Blah.  I have to miss it this year.  I'm committed to being at Dragon Fall that weekend...

I may be able to attend.
Are customs allowed like last year?

Let me know if anyone has a mini they would need to borrow for the game. I will bring a selection for people just in case.

It is now firmly on my schedule.   Do we need to bring our own sheets as well as the mini's?

Thanks!

Can someone bring the record sheets
for both highlander mechs please.
I have the hgn732 but will be picking up the other at some point.

Are there sheets for locust and Valkyrie.

Thank you

Do bring record sheets for anything you really want to play.

You may bring customs.

If you don't bring sheets you will pick out of our binder of old record sheets. :)

Same BV limit as last year (2500, adjusted for pilot skill)?

I'm still working out my schedule for that weekend, but fingers crossed that I'll be able to make it; last year's was super fun :-) .

I will be there but I will be there late.  My wife has something she has to go to in the morning.  I shouldn't be any later than 1:00 though.

2500 for BV balancing including skills.

Remember, it is ok if the mech you choose has more than 2500 BV, you will just have terrible pilot/gunnery to bring it back down. :) The scenario might make that worth it.

Are there other time people get together and play.
I’m wanting to try and get more games in to really learn
The rules and in and outs.

Thank you for the fun game Saturday.
Thank you

There's an group that is doing a casual campaign on about one Sunday a month at Grognard Games. This thread usually gets notified when new games are scheduled: https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=62174.0

Hello all,
I would like to know in what order is best to pick up the
Tech manuals.

I have my thoughts on a few mechs, wondering if I should pick manuals up first for those or is there an order that a new player should get them in.

Thank you for your help.gf
Thank you

Well, the Tech Manual would be first, then Tac Ops.

I have Battletech manual and an older version (Fanpro) of the total war fare.
Is tax ops still in print if so I’ll pick it up.

There is a new version of Total Warfare (It has an Atlas on the cover) which is the most up to date version.  The others are out of print, but can be found if you look.
