Units carrying ECM
« on: 03 January 2017, 20:59:09 »
Does an active ECM affect shots fired into it by direct fire weapons w/targeting computer? I was told that a unit firing into an ECM bubble, but not in the bubble itself, is at a +2 to hit. Is this true? If so please explain the logic behind this!

No. Under normal rules, ECM does not affect targeting-computer-guided shots at all.

The closest you'll find is in the advanced rules of TacOps, where an ECM that is generating Ghost Targets can impose a +1 modifier on all shots aimed at the unit being protected. There's more to it than that, but that's what TacOps is for.

Long story short, the person who told you that was wholly incorrect.
