Alannah knocked on the door to Euron's office.  "Sir, they're here as ordered."

"Excellent."  Euron replied.  "Send them in."

The door opened, and in walked Beryl Blacktyde, Freyja and Victarion Greyjoy, Bors Harlaw, and Isolde Botley, back from their individual assignments with the other GSF units.  They found Fuka already there, a look of excitement on her face.  Beryl scoffed at the tech/occasional Mechwarrior's presence.  Bors, Victarion and Freyja smiled back at her, while Isolde grinned and waved to her.  As they took their seats, Euron began the meeting.

"So, everyone, how did you like your assignments?"  He asked.

Isolde began with her usual exuberance.  "Oh my god, it was awesome!  I thought things were going to be sooo boring at first, but the Hammers are pretty amazing.  Did you know Kiah, I mean, Major Franks, sorry, fights her brother with live steel every morning?  They also have these big communal feasts.  Even the Clanners are cool, if a bit wound too tight.  I had so much fun learning their tactics and attitudes.  I think I might want to go back there again sometime."

Euron smiled.  "Glad you enjoyed it.  Sister, how was Loyalty Foresworn?"

Beryl responded coolly.  "They seem to be having a lot of deployment problems. Duke didn't give me access to everything, but what he did give me was quite interesting.  He's not that different from us, but he seems to hiding quite a bit.  He did ask me to send word to Kraken's Arms about increasing production of Heavy Gauss slugs for his 'Mechs.  I told him I would look into it."

"Well, I'll certainly put in word to Tristan to see that he gets them."  Euron agreed.  "Vic, Freyja, did you have fun with the Hands of the Goddess?"

Victarion answered.  "Well, for Canopians, their forces are quite disciplined, though off-duty, the rules are a bit lax.  We attended a few get-togethers.  Freyja even taught them how to brew mj0d."

"Wait, mj0d?"  Euron questioned.  "Isn't that the stuff that smells like Heat Sink coolant, yet burns all the way down like rocket fuel?"

"That's the stuff. A long-standing Blacktyde tradition." Freyja chimed in.  "I was quite impressed that a couple of them actually survived the first shot and wanted a second.  One even asked for a third, but passed out before the glass was brought to him."

Euron cringed as he remembered his first experience with the drink.  He'd passed out after just one shot and had been down for half a day afterwards.  Jurgen had laughed at that, calling him a lightweight.  "Moving along," He continued, "what about you, Bors?"

"Well, I will say Grandmother's got an impressive estate."  The young man began.  "I'd heard the stories, but they don't do it justice.  Bully and Grandmother were very accommodating, Minamoto too.  I even got to meet his wife and kid.  Shiro asked me "How is the old man, Ironborn?".  When I realized he was talking about you, Colonel, I told him you were young enough to kick his ass.  He laughed at that and told me to tell you he's game whenever you are...sir."

Euron chuckled.  "I'm sure he is.  Thank you, all of you for your stories.  Now then, let me tell you why I called you in here, as well as why Miss Hiyami is here too.  I have been given permission by Clan Sugai to create a new permanent 'Mech security lance for Hilo City.  Using machines Stygg Blacktyde and Master Sergeant Zhao helped recover from an Eridani Light Horse unit at Pegasus that had been ambushed by the Word of Blake, we have the extra 'Mechs necessary to make up that force.  Miss Hiyami has volunteered to be a part of this lance.  Hilo is her home and she has a right to contribute to its defense."

Beryl rolled her eyes at this but held her tongue, while Euron continued.  "In addition, I have decided that the other three members will represent the 4 familes in this endeavor."  Before he could finish, he heard voices outside the door.

"C'mon, stop, we're gonna get in trouble."
"Shut up, I wanna hear..."

Knowing the voices instantly, Beryl opened the door with a smirk.  In tumbled Audra and Mira Greyjoy, Victarion's daughters and Euron and Beryl's nieces.  Alannah pinched the bridge of her nose as the two teenagers stood up.

"Uncle Euron, I want to be part of the lance."  Audra exclaimed as Mira tried to stop her and get her to leave.  "Stop it."  She said to her sister before pressing on with her uncle.  "I'm of age now.  I can pilot a 'Mech.  I've been running the simulators since I was 13.  I'm ready."

Beryl laughed.  "You think you can just cut the line, Audra?  War is a business for adults, not little girls barely out of their teens."

"Bully has a teenage girl in his unit."  Euron retorted.  "And she's had more experience than some of the adults on this base.  While I appreciate your enthusiasm, Audra, Major Harlaw and I have already made our choices as to who will represent the Ironborn families in the security lance.  To represent both Houses Greyjoy and Blacktyde, I have chosen Beryl Blacktyde."

"Sensible."  Beryl nodded in approval.

"For House Harlaw, Bors, you will be part of the lance."  Bors saluted.  "I won't let you down, sir."

Euron returned the salute.  "Finally, to represent House Botley, Isolde will round out the lance."

"Thank you, sir.  I'll do my best."  She looked at Fuka and gave her a thumbs up.

"Lastly, Freyja will serve as ready five in case any of you are injured or otherwise indisposed.  Victarion, you'll be our liaison with Clan Sugai as we get the unit set up.  Dismissed."

The assembled Ironborn began to file out.  Audra was stopped when Euron said.  "Not you, Audra.  You and I need to talk some more.  Mira, you can go."

"I told you you'd get in trouble."  The 15-year old told her older sibling as she rushed out of the office.

"Now then, Audra."  Euron said.  "Two things.  First, in this office, you call me Colonel."

Audra sighed, her head down.  "Yes, sir."

"Second," Euron continued, "I have something better in mind for you.  Major Harlaw, put me in touch with Jack Nakatomi, tell him...I have a problem student I want him to train personally."

"With pleasure, Colonel."  Alannah responded.

Audra gulped, wondering what this meant.

"Not to worry, Audra."  Euron finished.  "What I want him to train you for, I think you'll find it plays to your...particular strengths."

“Sho-ko I have Major Harlaw asking for you.” The duty officer informs Jack.
“Me, are you sure that the Major is not looking for Elisio or my wife?”
“She is asking for you, something about Colonel Grayjoy having a problem student and that you being the best teacher.”
“Very well I will take in it in that office.” Jack points to an open office as he walks over to it. When he enters he closes the door and picks up the phone on the desk. “Major how may I be of help to you and the Colonel?”

"Sho-ko.  This is Colonel Greyjoy."  Euron responds. "I have a personal request to make of you.  It concerns my niece, Audra Greyjoy.  She's recently turned 18 and has expressed interest in joining the security lance from Hilo.  She's highly intelligent and resourceful.  She also has a reputation for causing Harald and Julia headaches with "pranks" she's pulled around the base.  Mostly minor things, but they have been growing in severity.  She's also a bit disrespectful regarding the chain of command.  What I'd like is for you to train her in the tricks of your former trade, particularly sabotage and intelligence-gathering.  She also needs a certain discipline that she just can't get here, but which I'm certain you can instill in her.  I think that this would be a much better use of her natural gifts and abilities.  If you're unable to do it or you're busy with other matters, perhaps you can suggest someone who has similar skills."

OOG: If my memory serves, Jack is a former ISF agent.  This is the type of training I want for Audra.  She also needs to learn discipline if she wants to serve in the Ironborn.  What do you think?

“I know a few that can be of help on this but I would need to know what base skills she has now.” Jack looks at his pad and notices he has to meet with the NCO’s from the DCA marines. “Colonel I have some things that need tending to so if you send me a bio on your niece so I can see just how she would fit in. We have a few schools that would be able to teach her well.”

Jack in not ISF he is DCA Marine Force Recon/Scout Sniper.

We have schools on world that can do things along this idea.

Hey guys -

Sooo... finally able to come to a game, and I see we are playing in a few days, I see we are on convoy guard, but I don't see what the unit requirements are to be this time, there's too much stuff on the board.

It's like finding a needle in a haystack :bang:

ANYWAY... am I correct in assuming that it's the normal unit breakdown?  (keeping in mind the whole 'ass out of u and me' thing, I have to ask for confirmation)

-C

p.s. - since it's 'assuming' instead of 'assume' is it "ass out of u and ming the merciless" instead?
My brain is in it's usual bizzare place, don't mind me

Holy CRAP HE LIVES! :D CRASH!!!!

How many transport vehicles in the convoy?
What are they carrying?
Any chance of getting one or two empty transport vehicles to accompany the convoy, just in case?
Is this a 1 way trip escort? or round trip?
What kind of terrain?

Hey Gang -

Nice to know I've been missed

sorry to hear you're not going to be there jim, hoping to be there on a more regular basis going forward and to see you next time.  Have a good 4th visiting your brother

So I have a couple of questions as well...

1) threat level for mission...  Likely to be attacked in force, likely to be harrassed, possible to be either, or unlikely to be either?

2) are any particular vehicles more important to defend than others because they or their cargo are irreplaceable or explosion risks (oil or kerosene tankers really don't count towards this, a tanker explosion is rather benign in relation to a 30 meter hex grid but if the fuel is more energetic like avgas that's a different story... and if some of the trucks are ammo trucks or blasting compound or something, that'd be REALLY nice to know), I.E. is anything in the convoy critical to protect over some other vehicle if we can't protect all of them?

3) are we to remain in place until the convoy finishes their task once we are at the destination or are we only providing security until arrival?

4) how close to previous enemy activity is the route?

5) are there any choke points (bridges, swamp causways, narrow sections between the river and impassible terrain for the trucks etc. where the threat is highest and what is the terrain in those particular locations?

6) has anyone brought something with an lrm20 for mine clearing?

7) do we have to watch the base convoy security force for possible treachery considering the mixture of sentiment on world?

on a unit availablilty level,

8 ) do I still have the same units deployed offworld and in training, or have we rotated them back by now?

9) have my techs finished the c3 refit yet, or have they all been off in la-la land?

bearing those questions in mind...  unit mix is still kind of up in the air at the moment...  mostly based on responses to questions 1,3 and 6.  higher threat levels most likely will result in Avatar as inf pick, one of the Schiltrons in config B or C as vehicle, wolvie as mech and whichever owens was not sent offworld as the open pick.  UNLESS we have no l20's... in which case bringing the hunter kinda becomes essential and it will replace the schiltron.

Long RIP would prolly use the hunter instead of the schiltron anyway and the peggy instead of the owens

intermediate threat level unit mix would be the avatar, the wolvie, the hunter and peggy

low threat level unit mix would be the owens, avatar, the galleon with the less capable crew and the badger -except if no other l20's, in which case hunter instead of avatar

reliablility of the base security force defines how my units (and hopefully everyone elses) will be placed around the convoy.

will check the board for responses after I get back from church just before I head out, otherwise will figure it out when we get together.

So I have a couple of questions as well...

1) threat level for mission...  Likely to be attacked in force, likely to be harrassed, possible to be either, or unlikely to be either?

GSF units were requested to help with security for this convoy. local militias have sent in 4 Vedette Medium Tanks and the security from the company doing the transport has light vehicles with MG and SRM weapons on them.

Quote
2) are any particular vehicles more important to defend than others because they or their cargo are irreplaceable or explosion risks (oil or kerosene tankers really don't count towards this, a tanker explosion is rather benign in relation to a 30 meter hex grid but if the fuel is more energetic like avgas that's a different story... and if some of the trucks are ammo trucks or blasting compound or something, that'd be REALLY nice to know), I.E. is anything in the convoy critical to protect over some other vehicle if we can't protect all of them?

All vehicles are important. the tankers are for if the convoy need to change route or a rest point is out of use. recovery vehicles if a vehicle has mechanical problems.

Quote
3) are we to remain in place until the convoy finishes their task once we are at the destination or are we only providing security until arrival?

you will provide security until the cargo gets to the off load point.

Quote
4) how close to previous enemy activity is the route?

we have no safe routes on Nijero. Any Time, Any Place Baby

Quote
5) are there any choke points (bridges, swamp causways, narrow sections between the river and impassible terrain for the trucks etc. where the threat is highest and what is the terrain in those particular locations?

yes to choke points. yes if the wheeled vehicles are forced off the road.

Quote
6) has anyone brought something with an lrm20 for mine clearing?

no one has posted a unit so far.

Quote
7) do we have to watch the base convoy security force for possible treachery considering the mixture of sentiment on world?

might be an idea  >:D

Quote

you units are still off world. you have not informed me of what units you would like to rotate them with yet.

you sir have to roll dice for this ..... yes roll dice  >:D >:D >:D

Next Mission will be 8/20

Keep your eyes open as all kinds of things are inbound  >:D

and to start  ;D

So what do you have on the GSF and militia projects?”
“So far we have the monies they have put up and two of the GSF commands are working on getting the information of the items on the list.”
“This is good. With what some of the Dai Ichizoku’s have put in we are looking very good on this.”
“I think we can get a crew to start looking over a site on Starfall lands.”

Captain Baird walks into Kiah’s office. “Major the new vehicle crews will be on world in a week. I have the tech checking over the units they will be assigned to.”
“Good it will be good to have them on line after all this time.”
“Yes the ADA unit will be a big help to us.”
“That extra artillery unit as well.” Kiah looks up from her computer. “I know you will also like having that assault platoon on line.”
“Yes I do. That is a lot of firepower we have not had.” As he is about to head out. “Seaton informs me that he has four troopers in the GDLS armor so we know have them on line with the Svantovit so now both of the artillery units have spotters.”

“Sho-sa we have one of the two Pegasus Tanks back on line.”
“Very good Chi-i.”
“That is the good news.”
“So what is the bad news?”
“We will need a new engine for the other. We got the one line by taking parts from the other.”
“So is the other in need of anything more the engine?”
“Īe. We have the parts to repair the drive train but the engine is a write off.”
“I will see about getting a replacement. Chi-i good work.”
“Arigatō Sho-sa.”

“So you have been pulling patrols around Hilo and working on adding a lance of BattleMech to provide an extra layer around Hilo?”
“Yes we have.” The commander of the Ontos confirms as he talks with some of the security and convoy drivers as they move along the route to Bridges. “We have not been on world long but the others are looking at Nijero as a place worth protecting.”
“Wow your commander is not what one would think of as a typical mercenary.”
“No he is not.”

“So you know some of the people that have been making trouble around Camp Haru?”
“Sure but trouble? Not so much, they are getting offers to go and hold signs. They can make some good money for doing nothing but hanging out. Nice work, wish I could get something like that. Beats running a rig for a week.” One of the truckers talking with the Hunter commander. “To be home after a day or two is easy work.”

“So you guys are on Shinrin?” One of the security drivers asks Tormund as they are moving along the road.
“Sure are. We had to be air lifter to be here as part of your escort.”
“That must be great to get to see other places. I have never even been off Tariku let alone off world.”
“Hay in some ways I think you have it better. You have a home.”

“So honey how about you and me get together after this job. I can show you some of the local sights when we get to Bridges.”

"So, why do I have to be the turtle?"  Asked Bors as he looked up at the Crab that had been assigned to him.  The top of the 'Mech's carapace had been painted to resemble the scales of a turtle's shell.  On one of the legs was the coat of arms of House Harlaw: a silver scythe on a black field.

"That's Genbu." Said Fuka.  "The steel tortoise and guardian of the north.  Sorry it's not the Phoenix Hawk you had expected, but that 'Mech was more severely damaged than we thought."

"But I'm not even qualified for piloting mediums."  Bors protested.

"That's why I'm here."  Freyja chimed in.  "I'm the one who's going to teach you.  Plus, as ready-five pilot, I can drive it if you're unable to."

Isolde took in the sight of the Mongoose, painted in white with black tiger stripes.  "Sexy."  She remarked.

"You like her?"  Said Fuka.  "This is Byakko, the white tiger guardian of the west.  She has the most advanced electronics in the lance, including a Beagle Probe.  It may not have the stealth armor of the Anubis, but she's just as fast and has slightly better weapons range.  And she's all yours."  She indicated the newly painted coat of arms of a school of silver minnows on a sea-green field, the Botley family sigil.

"So that makes this one mine?"  Beryl inquired of the Javelin that had a split coat of arms on the leg of the sigils of the Greyjoy gold kraken and the green and purple design of the Blacktydes.  The rest of the 'Mech was painted with aquamarine scale patterns.  "This is the sea dragon, then?"

"That's right."  Fuka nodded.  "Seiryu.  Guardian of the east.  She has Ferro-Fibrous armor and 7 medium lasers.  Very dangerous at close range.  Also, no missile launchers nor dependence on ammunition.  She's a Fire Javelin."

"Good."  Beryl smiled.  "No need to reload, then."

"So I guess the big guy with the fire motifs is yours?"  Isolde pointed at the fourth 'Mech in the bay.  A Black Knight painted black with orange flame effects all over it.  Its "visor" had the face of a firebird on it.

"That's my Suzaku.  The phoenix guardian of the south." Fuka said proudly.  "She's an old SLDF Royal unit.  A living piece of history.  Or she will be once she's fully repaired."

"You're lucky my brother Euron likes you."  Beryl noted.  "Giving you charge of such an irreplaceable machine.  So where's your coat of arms?"

Fuka indicated the kamon of her family on the 'Mechs shin.  It was painted in yellow next to the flame effects, concealing it somewhat.  "It's subtle, but my family aren't nobles, after all.  So, what do you think?"

"I'd say we're gonna look kinda ridiculous." Isolde remarked.  "But we're definitively gonna catch the eye.  The people of Hilo are gonna flip when they see us."

"I hope so."  Said Fuka.  "They'll look at us and know their protectors have arrived."

"That just sounded sooo corny."  Said Bors.

Fuka pouted as Beryl and Bors had a chuckle at her expense.

“Sho-sa I thank you for taking my call.”
“It is my pleasure Sho-sa Sato. How may I be of service to the Sugai Yoroi?
“I need some insight with working with BattleMechs. This is not something any in my command have done before.”
“I see the new security force that the Ironborn working on for Hilo, your armored and infantry units will need to work with the pilots and ‘Mechs that will be supplied by the Ironborn. You will want your ground units that complement the abilities of the ‘Mechs. Do you have a list of what units they are providing?”
“Yes they will be a Black Knight, Crab, Fire Javelin and Mongoose.”
“This is a good unit for an urban security force. None will need ammunition and two of them have active probes that will help to find enemy units it said environment.” She thinks for a moment. “You will want to have your forces to provide long and short range missile support. Your infantry units will need to be fast so they can get in to place to direct the long range missile support.”
“How fast should the infantry be?”
“I would say 50 to 60 KPH at cruse will work.” Kona looks off screen. “I will offer that any armor support you provide should be in the 40 to 60 KPH bracket. You will want you support units to be no slower than the Black Knight as it is the heavy support of this lance. The other units are the skirmish and scout members of the lance.”
“Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu.“
“Dōitashimashite.” She looks off screen once more. “I must go, Kōun o.”

“Colonel I have found a camp site for that Tǔfěi crew that you had “Boom Box” follow.” Marselo Perez informed his commander. “Looks like they doubled back and are now holding up about 500 klicks south-east of Lanikai. From what we can see it looks like they have done some armor repairs after the fight.”
“Very good Marselo, keep your eyes on them and I will pass this info on to GSF command.” Looking at his coms officer. “Get me GSF command now. We have to get the units that are out in the field moving fast.” Eruon informs his duty officer. “Inform the repair crew to get what repairs they can do on the Hollander.”

“You had some of your unit follow the bandits after the mission?” Tekeda asked with some surprise in his voice.
“Yes, I had a couple units move into the area to see if we could pick up their trail.” Euron answered. “With GSF forces from that mission still in the area the risk was minimal. I offer that we should have those units and any other unit from the GSF that can move to the location before ASAP. I also have a ‘Mech in the area that should be airlifted in to help deal with them.”
“I will inform all the other GSF units and see what transports we have to get them to that area.”

“GSF command to all GSF units the bandits have been located and we will be sending transport to get your units to the site. Have your units ready for when the transport arrives. Any units in the field from the mission will be transported to the new AO.”

“So if this guy is running dark, how do we find him?”
“The old mark I eyeball.” Over the com unit all you guys keep your eyes open so we can pick up the Raven and get it to the AO in time.”

“Yes they will be a Black Knight, Crab, Fire Javelin and Mongoose.”

the hawk moth will be the first one in.

the main force will be in two turns later ..... keep the Moth out of enemy weapons range for that time  ::)

"Boom Box" will be in a turn after the main force.

For the Hollander you will have time to replace some armor. 16 points (1 ton) if you have the internal to support it (1 point internal for every 2 of armor.)

The Warrior crew will start running a search pattern in the Baja area they will see signs of the encounter the GSF had with Clan Bandits back in April of ’68 but not much more.

As the “Night Witch” moves around an area about 200 kilometers north of Nakazawa Shiro Meifeng will find traces of ‘Mechs and vehicles heading northwest toward the river. A couple of days later after she crossed the river Meifeng will pick up a trail about 100 kilometers further north she will pick up a different set of tracks also of BattleMechs and combat vehicles going northeast. The foot prints and vehicle tracks do not look like anything from the Hammer’s.

Meifeng will inform GSF Command of the unknown 'Mech and tank tracks, where she found them and the general direction they're heading.  She also asks if Fuka can look at the tracks herself and use her "'Mech Bunny" skills to see if she can identify what frames made the tracks.

BTW. did Meifeng find any weapons caches along the way (this was her primary mission along with the recon)?  If so, she'll mark them on the GPS for later investigation.

“I am sending vid of the tracks I have found can we get our intel working on this? Maybe the ‘Mech Bunny may have some idea of what they are.” Meifeng sends over a secure channel.

After looking over the vid Fuka will inform the Ironborn S2. “What I see is the tracks from a Hatamoto, Thunderbolt, Dragon, Catapult and a group of the classic 55 tonners. You may have some light ‘Mech but the heavy unit have ruined them.”
“Any idea of what models?”
“From tracks? I may be a bit of a ‘Mech freak but nobody can tell that just by some footprints!”
“Just checking.”
“They have some hover vehicles with them. From how the grass is matted I would guess something over 40 tons.”
“Thanks Fuka this will help Meifung out.”

“After speaking with Sho-sa Kalakaua the Hilo Security Force (HSF) should have wheeled or tracked vehicles. These vehicles should have speeds from 40 to 60 KPH at cruse. Hover vehicles for this unit would be a good choice as they would skid to easy.”
“So what vehicles would you want for this force?”
“I would request a pair of the standard Bulldog and LRM variant of this heavy tank to form the base fire power of the force.  For the infantry support unit a pair of Striker lighter tank to give support for this unit and a pair of heavy A.P.C.s to transport the infantry. If the unit can be given one L.R.M. and one S.R.M. variant so they can also give support to the troopers. These are my humble requests Sugai-sama.”
“I will put in the orders so that they will be ready when the Ironborn units are ready.”
“Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu Sugai-sama.“

Nejiro News 1
The trial for Isao Nakazawa is now in its second week and the case that Isao Nakazawa lawyers has presented so far has not done much to prove that he was not acting for himself. Some of what they have offered has shown that he is working for off-world interests not Nijero’s.

HBC News
With the trial of Isao Nazakawa for treason to Nejiro now in its second week and the defense now showing cause for what Isao Nazakawa did. In fact from what our legal team has reported the defense has shown just why he is on trial.

The Moro Sun-Times
Isao Nazakawa trial for treason to Nejiro is not going well for him. The items that his defense team has put forward so far look much better for the government then him. We will keep you informed as more things happen.

The Tarawa Times
From what the courts have let be reported Lord Nakazawa should be convicted of the charge of treason to Nijero. But we will ask is this true or not? So far we have only been told what the government wants you to see. We will have our people look in to this more.

The Dakuu-orianyusu
People of Nijero a true son of Nejiro should not be facing this sham trial. He is looking out for this world! He only wants what is best for this world! He did what needs to be done to keep this world safe and the She-Demon and her courts have already passed judgement on him. They will not let show all so that you the good people of Nejiro can see just how corrupt your leaders are. Will you let this happen to one who only looks out for you happen?
We have seen video of bandits operating near Majuro. Why is this not in the news?

Shin no wadopuresu
From the reports that are coming from Lord Nazakawa’s trial, show him to be very much in the wrong. But can the courts be trusted? She who is in charge has presented the charges, be it in the form of the courts but is from her. She is in control and has picked who will sit in judgement, who will present her case. Can Lord Nazakawa have a just and true day in court?
We have also had many reports of bandit raids that your government has made no mention of.

“Sir our intel people just found something that you will want the Governor to know.”
“What?” Precentor Wilkes asks.
“WoB has a LoM unit on world.”
“Any more good news?”
“Sir?”
“Nothing, so what makes them thing that LoM in on world.”
“They have picked up some high level traffic and the coding is well above what they have seen so far with the other WoB units. It also has some to the trademarks of ROM but better.”
“That would explain some of the different events we have had as of late. I will let the Governor know what we think.” Looking at his S2. “Part of me wants you to be wrong about this but I know better.”

I do have this in mind but need to know if she is following tracks or searching. If searching, what direction is she going in?

She was searching until she found the 'Mech and tank tracks.  Her recon track was to work her way north from the Shiro.  She was also to search heavily forested areas or spots at the foot of the mountains on the east side of the river.  She was not expecting to find anything 'Mech-sized.  She was hoping for ammo containers, small arms, bikes, maybe a tank or APC or two.  Since she now has the new info, she's going to follow the tracks backwards to their place of origin.  Maybe they left some stuff behind.  She's not allowed to engage the enemy per her orders, but that doesn't mean she can't disrupt some supply lines by raiding an empty camp.  If it's NOT empty, well, that's also worth reporting.

the tracks she has been tracking came from Nakazawa Shiro.  She has not found any weapons storage areas at this time. The tracks are for the most part heading north. They double back at different times and she will loose them as they get on hard ground.
