Daishi Widowmaker (or Prometheus for you Dirty Davions).

Neither is overly hard to mod yourself with existing parts. Prometheus one is actually well detailed in one of the old Commando Quarterly newsletters (Issue 1 Oct 2005) done by Ray Arrastia himself!

Omnimech variants were on the list of things they weren't going to make.

Updated. Removed WM/P and added Hawkwolf. (20-5161, apparently Lance Scarini's extensive product list that I'm using for reference is getting a little out of date from December 2017).
I was hoping they'd do a OM variant, at least make an OP for the torso. I spent a couple hours making it and cut and burned myself doing so.
I was using the OM image gallery for an image reference, along with Dak's Guide V2 for what parts to get.

I've had a Snow Raven cluster for a few years now, complete with a full star of Protos.  It just hasn't had reason to hit a table at a convention yet. :D

I on the other hand am surprised at all the the "variant" options that I see people want, in a game where its not WYSIWYG.

The AC2 Carrier was fluffed as a variant of the LRM Carrier in the original 3026 fluff, so just use LRM Carriers.

Anything "Named" like Thug-Jose or Widowmaker or the Model #2 v/s the current mini that looks like the #3, etc etc.

I use unseen Wolverine-6R's for any model of Wolverine that I want to be playing, 6M, 7M, 8C, 8K, 9W2, etc etc etc.

It doesn't matter, because its a Wolverine which is as close I get to being accurate.

I'd never put a re-sculpt above getting something new for the game out there.  But that's just me.

Well, resculpts and Classics weren't allowed this go-around so that limited options.  And if you have a particular variant of a mech that yo like to use on a regular basis that doesn't have a weapon-load that corresponds with the standard mini, it's fun getting a mini that actually looks the part.

On another note, please let us know when resculpts can be a thing.  There are three Wolf Omnimehcs that could stand to be brought into the same scale and parts capabilities of the 3050 omnis

Sure, but the fan financing section is populated by a self-selected group of a self-selected group. (That slice of Battletech players who frequent these boards, and care enough about miniatures to pay just to make new sculpts happen. For that matter, it also selects for board members enough into the miniatures to watch the miniatures boards for these threads.)

I can see wanting a particular variant, if it fills out a painted display unit, or because you think it will look cooler than the base model, or whatever. That can hold up, even if you plan to use it as a proxy for some other model later on down the line.

I will freely admit that I voted for the primitive Emperor because I think it looks cooler than the higher tech version for which we already have a sculpt, even though nobody would blink at me fielding the existing sculpt as an EMP-1A.

I find it amusing, especially on outside forums that always decry or protest the latest releases because they flat out refuse to come to the official board to participate.

Most of the reasons I've seen range from "they never choose what I want" to "the official board sucks, is full of elitists and they banned me cuz I didn't toe a party line"  the second is especially funny because usually those people have very strong opinions of their own in discussions and usually end up killing any they are in.

I chose the Alfar and Liberator just to keep a flow of earlier designs going.
