Which shade of green to use for the 1st FSAC??
« on: 31 October 2020, 16:02:22 »
Hi Guys,

Having received the first batch of Kickstarter minis, I want to paint a force of the 1st Federated Suns Armored Cavalry.

Does anyone of you have a good advice, which green to use here? The Vallejo and Citadel shade of green, which I have, are just not the right shade.

However before going out to buy, trial and error the different types of green out there on the market, I figures some of you cracks would probably have a good recommendation.

Thanks in advance....

Citadel Caliban Green base would do, I think.

Just make sure to get the base, not a contrast, layer, shade, revenant, nightgaunt, or other variable in the Citadel paint system.

I was wondering if Caliban Green would turn out too dark. Have you actuallly use it and can tell what hue it is?

Having worked with the Citadel Contrast line, I do like them in general, but I am unsure how Ork Flesh or Creed Camo would turn out. Any experience or advise, why not to use these?

I use Apple Barrel paint English Ivy Green.

Mmm have to check whether one can get this brand over here in Germany. Stores mostly offer Vallejo, P3, Citadel, Army Painter or Reaper over here.

Reaper Forest Green is a bit lighter if you’re worried about it being too dark

Looking at the Reaper color chart Pine Green could work top, what so you think?
