question re the Karhu mini
« on: 25 January 2011, 22:25:31 »
in the IWM release schedule topic, 20-5021  Karhu KHU-R1 Mech   (TRO 3085 – 65 ton) , is earmarked for a approx July release.  Is this the same mini as in the 3085 lance pack 10-045 , currently available or will it include options to make a variant(s) ?

if the same mini as in the 3085 lance pack, why so long before it is available separately ?

I dunno about if it is identical, or if there are variant parts, but the simple reason for the delay in releasing the mechs individually is quite simple.

Bolster sales of the lance pack initially.  We are lucky, at least we will be able to order then seperatly eventually, rather then be forced to purchase minis we don't want indefinatly to get the one or two that we do.

Yeah, I agree.   I was hemming and hawing about buying a Ghost Bear Star pack for a while just to get the Grizzly.  I dindn't need any of the other mechs, aand din't want the Clint IIC at all.  Luckily just before I did, the Grizz came on the market as a single.

Then you have people like me, who bought the Ghost Bear pack for the Alt sculpts of the Black Hawk and Dragonfly... and now has two Grizzlies, Ursi, and Clint IICs...

I'll probably have to find out if they are different. At that point, I'll figure out if I should buy both.

I can tell you up front that the Ursus and Clint IIC are identical.

I had a Clint IIC from the Medium Star pack that I traded for a Fenris resculpt, then decided I wanted a Clint IIC after the Clint IIC 2 was released.
