(Answered) Poor Targeting Quirk Pricing
« on: 05 July 2020, 19:45:50 »
Let's say I have an aerospace fighter with four guns, all of which reach Medium range, but none whom go to Long … Or farther.  :))

Do I have to make all four guns match Poor Targeting quirks? Or would I be allowed to not apply it, say, to the nose gun(s)?

Is there a pattern to which such Poor Targeting quirks must conform? Or is it allowed to fudge up a minimum range on PPCs in this way? ;)

As per StratOps p199 and the BMM p88, Poor Targeting affects all ranged attacks in that range bracket. If you want to limit only certain weapons you'd perhaps be better off using the Inaccurate Weapon quirk, although that will affect them at all ranges.

Rules-wise it just gives weapons a to-hit penalty in that range bracket.
