TRO 3085 PDF, also Record Sheets 3085 Print
Page 141 (143 PDF)
The Carnivore is .5 tons overweight in both the TRO and RS 3085 Print. The version in RS 3085 Unabridged is legal.
The exact two problems are the following:
Engine weight is noted as 17 tons. Heavy MG ammo is noted as 100 or 1 full ton.
Actual engine weight is 17.5 tons according to HMVee. Also, according to whatever program was used to make RS 3085 Unabridged. I assume.
In RS 3085 Unabridged, the Heavy MG ammo is noted as 50 or .5 ton. This makes that design legal according to HMVee.
My suggestion is to change engine weight in TRO to 17.5 tons and to note Heavy MG ammo as 50 and .5 ton. This would be in line with the RS 3085 Unabridged record sheet. RS 3085 Print should have Heavy MG ammo at 50.
BTW, this is the third design in the main section of the TRO that I have had issues with in making. The other two were spacecraft. I am impressed with the obvious amount of error checking that went into making this TRO as the main section has so few errors in it. My congratulations to all who were involved in making the TRO.

Technical Readout 3085
Ostroc, page 247/249
Armor says Light Ferro
Both record sheets have Ferro
Weight requires Ferro to fit all the armor in, so change armor time to Ferro.
-
Technical Readout 3085
Arondight, page 124
Ammunition section lists 20 rounds of Piranha missiles.
Weapons section gives 20 rounds of ammo each to all four Piranha bays (FL/R, AL/R)
Suggestion: Change ammunition section to list 80 missiles.
In addition, the TRO simply lists 24 marines, while the original Arondight in JHS 3076 lists the marines as battle-armored troops. I do not know if this is errata, or an intentional change.
-
Page 250, the section on the Rifleman 7X, under Notable MechWarriors. It lists Joey driving the original 8X, but I have no records for an 8X anywhere. Should that have been original 7X?
-
Kuma, p.158 / Capabilities
This is all due to its enormous 360 Type II engine, an extralight engine more typical for lighter designs like the Fenris and Pouncer.
The Pouncer have no 360 Engine, but the Phantom.
-
TRO3085, Page 11, Angerona
Standard anti mech should be No/No/No/Yes, as 2 armored gloves is not listed for a MEDIUM battle armor requirement for those attacks (TM167)
Recon anti-mech should note that it cannot make an AP attack.
TRO3085, Page 13, Kopis
The Anti-Infantry variant has the weight of the MPL rounded up to the nearest 5 (800.41 to 805), but the Flamer is 160kg and should be 155 (rounded up from 151 kg)

P274. Griffin IIC6
Manufacturer: Irece Alpha, Barcella Alpha
Primary Factory: Irece, Irece
Barcella Alpha should be on Barcella. This is referenced in the Battle Corps article for the Griffin IIC5 and TROPP. That covers the intel gap with loss of communications to the Home Worlds.
Manufacturer: Irece Alpha, Barcella Alpha
Primary Factory: Irece, Barcella

Page 250.
When describing the 8X variant it's stated that it uses a targeting computer "these are all backed a targeting computer
that allows deadly accuracy at any range."
According to the RS it doesn't use a TC (RS:3085 PP page 119).

Developer-level errata:
Ironhold, p. 130
replace "Designed by the scientist caste in close cooperation" with "Designed by the technician caste in close cooperation"

In case the link doesn't work.
TR entry for PXH-HK1 should change
“It officially entered service in 2701, nineteen years after the initial evaluation of the Shadow Haw LAM.”
To
“It officially entered service in 2692, ten years after the initial evaluation of the Shadow Hawk LAM.”

Print Corrected Second Printing,
The following units all have their Light PPCs listed as 1 critical space rather than 2:
Valkyrie p. 233
Thunderbolt p. 255
Marauder II p. 269 (Both Light PPCs are listed as 1 critical space.)
-
I've attached the current errata version to the first post. As far as I know, all the changes detailed therein were corrected in the second printing of TR 3085 (and the current PDF).
If you spot any changes that weren't in fact corrected, please report them here.
-
PDF, 2nd print, p. 228, Stinger -3P, Ensign Alexander Rice:
"Ensign Rice was part of the Magistracy contingent of a Capellan raiding force on New Hessen in 3084 and was instrumental in turning a Republic relief column before it could lift the Capellan siege of Denton."
This is incorrect, as the Republic never owned or occupied New Hessen: it stayed with the Federated Suns.

Judging by copyright dates, first printing
Lacking a copy of RS:3085 and without access to the LAM construction rules I can' be 100% sure, but under previous editions LAMs required the two remaining CT crit slots for transformation gear so
Page 297, WSP-100 WASP LAM MKI stat block move SRM 2(OS) from CT(R) to somewhere else and
Page 301 PHX-HK1 PHOENIX HAWK LAM MK I stat block move the JJ from CT to somewhere else
Also for some reason the leg mounted JJ's aren't group together on 301, suggest grouping (or double checking placement)
-
PDF, Page 203, Steiner Anti-Infantry Unit:
The unit's range seems to be calculated using the Primary Weapon's range. However, it has 2 Secondary Weapons per platoon, and the Firedrake Support Needler, which has a base range of 1. Which means the range should properly be: –1 (0 Hex), 0 (1 Hex), +2 (2 Hexes), +4 (3 hexes).
-
Conventional Infantry Section (pp. 194-221):
Replace all instances of "Armor Divisor" with "Damage Divisor"
-
Second Printing, page 195
House Kurita, Mechanized Field Artillery
"Burst Damage" is included under notes. The platoon uses 2 semi-portable autocannons per squad as support weapons, which don't do Burst Damage.
-
Corrected Second Printing PDF, p196:
House Davion, Mountaineer infantry
The platoon is armed with M42Bs as its primary weapon. TM errata added the "B" Burst-Fire damage special ability to the M42B.
Fix: Add "Burst Damage." to unit Notes.
Corrected Second Printing PDF, p197:
House Davion, SpecOps Paratrooper infantry
The platoon is armed with M42Bs as its primary weapon. TM errata added the "B" Burst-Fire damage special ability to the M42B.
Fix: Add "Burst Damage." to unit Notes.
Corrected Second Printing PDF, p198:
House Liao, Commando infantry
The platoon is armed entirely with Shredder Heavy Needler Rifles which are a non-penetrating weapon.
Fix: Add "Can only damage conventional infantry units." to unit Notes.
Corrected Second Printing PDF, p197:
Comstar, Surveillance Specialists infantry
The platoon is armed with M42Bs as its primary weapon. TM errata added the "B" Burst-Fire damage special ability to the M42B.
Fix: Add "Burst Damage." to unit Notes.
-
Corrected Second Printing PDF, p203:
House Steiner, Anti-Infantry Unit
Unit notes don't match current correct format for flame-based weapon effect provided by the 2 Firedrakes per squad. The non-penetrating effect of the Mauser & Grey primary weapons doesn't apply, because they're not being used to determine the platoon's base range.
Fix: Change unit Notes to read "Flame-Based Weapon (may inflict damage and heat to heat-tracking units).", removing all other text in Notes section.
-
Note: This is from the original author. I believe it's better to correct the (admittedly minor) continuity error in this Tech Readout rather than the new sourcebook.
Corrected Second Printing print and PDF, pg. 296.
Continuity error with First Succession War sourcebook.
Under Variants, replace the line: "It took the fall of the Star League and the occupation of Corean’s facilities for the VLK-QA Valkyrie to enter service." with the following: "After the Amaris Civil War, a desperate SLDF decided to commission the VLK-QA Valkyrie anyway, though none were delivered before the Exodus."
-
Tech Manual Update in Errata 3.0 changed all Infantry Damage and BV in TRO 3085_Unabridged
Any units that use these equipment are effected:
Mauser IIC (so almost all Clan Builds)
Rifle (so pretty much all IS builds)
LRM
SRM
Flamer
See example of damage and BV change:
http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=5884.msg1296048#msg1296048
All infantry (as well as MUL entries) are incorrect according to new build rules for infantry weapons.
-
There is a Ares attack craft Mk VII mentioned.
Is it possibly a typing error, meaning the Mk VIII?
Because there is no Mk VIII ever mentioned, and the Mk VII is listed as a landing craft in TRO:3057revised

In the second paragraph of the Capabilities section:
"Backing up the Norse-Storm is a trio of Moscovia particle cannons."
change to
"Backing up the Imperator Dragon's Fire is a trio of Moscovia particle cannons."
(It is stated more than once on the same page that the Gauss Rifle mounted on Trebaruna in the Imperator Dragon's Fire, not the Norse-Storm model.)
