Meta: May have over quirked the machine for what it is but there is a lore reason why it's over tuned(for the technical limitations).
Lore: Made in limited quantities in the 3140s for use in the light retro tech mixed-tech circuit by a team called Team Bees. Technical and budget limitations meant they had to stick with Retro tech for base components and with a surplus of single heat sinks on the market. However despite it's debut with a unknown means of acquiring clanspec components for it's construction, lead to nasty rumours among some of the clans of the weapons being Stolen or bought on the black market. leading to a bad reputation among most inner sphere clan powers. In it's debut in 3145 it fared fairly well against machines of similar tech level and tonnage brackets. This did not deter the team who made the Rusty, as they managed to push the targeting and tracking improvements in tandem with a IS quality targeting computer to it's upmost limits.
It was no Clan machine nor was it a top of line machine but it had the ability to be made by indymech manufacturers who could source pretty much any system to fit into the mech itself. It was no omnimech but it was close to being one within it's technical limitations though it ubiquity may be in question. as of the 3150s it has seen some use in Militia's who could afford to source advanced weapons and targeting computers for it.
