I asked in an earlier post but you may have missed it. Do you have anything that is actually in stock or do you do orders as they come in?

Usually as they come in, with a 4-6 week turnaround time after the order is placed and payment is received.

Adrian,

Do you recommend the use of gloss for your decals?  I've heard it both ways, you can go with or without it.

What is the best way to contact you for an order?  I hate to mention it but I've heard a lot of bad stories, some good one but more bad than good. I understand you are busy and this isn't your main business. I also understand emails can get overlooked some times.

So I see you now have paypal. If I were to paypal you with the correct price for the decals and put what I would like in the comments section be acceptable or should i email you first and wait for a responce?

I have never had a bad experience with FPG.

I have ordered just as you asked in your post. Never had any problem. They do have a facebook page, which to my understanding is the easiest way to contact them. I don't use facebook and just pay the amount with the sheets that I want. They show up in the alotted time.

As far as I know, they always have had paypal.

Yes sir, I'm sure you've had good experiences but there are also whole threads on these forums about the company discussing about if they are still in business, how to get ahold of someone there...

I've drooled over their product for years but never ordered because of the rumors and things I've read. I really want to order but I don't want to try to order and be lost in email hell or whatever happens for what ever reason and not get a responce.

I also want everyone to know this isn't an angry reply or me trying to put the company down. I'm really just trying to get the info to make an educated opinion.

Shoot an e-mail, and if it doesn't make it through, PM Ray or Brian.  The turn around time was pretty quick when I've ordered, but there will of course be slower times.  They've always been pretty upfront about emails getting put into the spam folder, and sometimes communication can be slow as a result, but its definitely worth putting in an order.

Valid concerns Col.Hengist.

If the emails listed on the web site do not garner you a response in a reasonable amount of time, a PM to myself or Pirannha here will. There is also Facebook - I don't use the account, but it sounds like Pirannha is swift to respond there are well.

We don't have any sort of shopping cart system still, so the order would be requested by email. Brian would then send a paypal invoice, or you could snail-mail a money order. When the payment is received turnaround time on an order is around 4-6 weeks (but of course, Brian tries for sooner).

I would like to say one thing about the negative things I've heard as well - All I've ever heard are issues contacting us to place an order or slow response time to initial questions, or people who don't trust doing transactions without a shopping cart or via paypal (just like their used to be complaints about not having a paypal option). All understandably frustrating. But importantly, I've never heard anyone make a complain about "taking their money and running", not addressing any QC issues that might have slipped by on an order, or any customer service issues once we've managed to be in communication. That might not be good enough, but it is an important distinction to me for our size of operation (and by that, I don't simply mean that it's just Brian and myself, I also mean the amount of time the two of us can put into the business).

I'll go ahead and send you a PM to get the ball rolling.  O0

Do you recommend the use of gloss for your decals?  I've heard it both ways, you can go with or without it.
Well, it is recommended but I often do without. I often use washes, made with Future Floor Wax, and that acts like a gloss coat. Otherwise, no. But the primer I use is really smooth, so the miniature doesn't have much "tooth" or "grain" to begin with - if yours do, then you may want to gloss it so you don't get that silvering,

Have you ever considered making combination sheets? I don't often paint a lance let alone a company or more in a specific scheme. This definitely reduces the urge to buy decals but if you made combo sheets it might be more tempting. What I am picturing is a sheet that each column is a different unit. A Clan Wolf sheet could have a column of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Iota. It gives you some more flexibility and doesn't waste nearly as much. I wouldn't suggest replacing the existing sheets but this would be helpful to low volume painters. Sheets should even be firly easy to make since you have the existing graphic files and you only need to do multiple layers and delete large blocks of the above layers to accomplish it. If you use Photoshop, you should be able to create a macro to do the work most of the time where you only need to load up the 6 layers into one file. I'd be willing to do a mock-up or two if you are interested.

Yes, we've considered it.

Combinations are a nice idea!

However, for my money, I would like to see a "vertical" rather than "horizontal" combination. If you don't have a huge library of decals built up already, you might need 2-3 sheets to fully decal new canon paint scheme - house, brigade, regiment. Some combination of the three would be really cool.

Ont he subject of Combinations, one of the guys in my Group on Indy's east side has what might be a sword and Dragon sheet.  it has both faction logos, some generic warning, and a few numbers and insignia.  am I missing this sheet on the site?
do you more than Just sword and dragon?

That sheet came with the DC clamshell set sold by IWM when Sword & Dragon came out.  They did same thing for the FS set.

For the record ... although the insert for those sets still say that FPG decals are included, that is no longer the case.

We haven't done RotS sub-units yet, in either standard or Mwda sized sheets. I'll have a little more information to post later.

I was looking for the follow up post with the information to this.

Sorry. Essentially that the next update we'll try to include all logos from FM:3085 (I believe we've covered all the new ones from WoR). So that should include all the 3 RotS sub-units and the KotS as well - all in the standard sizes.
