See Galen Cox's early combat against House Kurita!

Before the Clan invasion and the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, before Jerrard Cranston and Victor Steiner-Davion, Galen Cox was a MechWarrior. See here one of his formative incidents, in our latest Blitzkrieg release.

A great story to have just before Christmas.
Jason did an excellent job on a young Galen's story.
I wish I could get a good grip on reality, then I would choke it.
Growing old is inevitable,
Growing up is optional.
Watching TrueToaster create evil genius, priceless...everything else is just sub-par.

Great story.  I always liked Galen Cox and it was nice to see him revisited.

Great story, thanks a lot!
I also liked the (re-)introduction of then-Leutnant Rhinestag.  O0

An excellent story by Mr. Schmetzer. O0  I highly recommend it.  I really enjoyed seeing the early years of a well-known supporting character developed.  It was very interesting to see how young Galen contrasts with the older Galen we're familiar with.

I also liked the (re-)introduction of then-Leutnant Rhinestag.  O0

I like that too.

Hmmmm, where do we know Rhinestag from?  His name does not ring a bell and Sarna.net is coming up blank...

He appears in the Warrior Trilogy, still on Ryde but now a leutnant.

Just a two line character?

Is this all new material? That is, was this previously released to BattleCorps as PDF material?

Just a two line character?

More than two lines, an entire chapter actually.  See Chapter 20 of Warrior: Coupe (pages 130-132 in my FASA edition of the book).  Akira Brahe and the Genyosha visit Ryde and Rhinestag helps them send a message to the Kell Hounds.  I liked how Mr. Schmetzer evolved the character from the book to the one in this story, it is a nice touch.

I am currently a BattleCorp subscriber and the story came as part of my subscription.  I don't know if that answers your questions or not.

All the Blitzkrieg stories are completely new.

Ok. I like the story so far. The part with the Locust flooding around on the ground was great.

But a minor quibble. How often must these writers tell us that their characters are grinning or smiling while in combat.

Seriously.

I believe it does, if you mean it was also released as a PDF in BattleCorps itself. Thanks, DechanFraser (and Roosterboy).

Edit: it looks like it hasn't been released to the BattleShop' BattleCorps Fiction section yet (for new/recently renewed BC members).
