In my experience it always to your advantage to let freshly-written stuff hang off for 24 hours before leisurely re-reading and proofing. That is almost as good as having a beta proof-reader.

Hey, fellow contributor here. I've really enjoyed this one so far, like the way you play with the timeline, cutting back and forth, makes for a very interesting read. Action sequences also well done!
