Alpha Strike - Quick Reference Sheet
« on: 11 May 2020, 14:15:12 »
I've created this linked Quick Reference Sheet.  Hopefully this aid lowers the learning curve and helps players discover these wonderful rules.  I have a separate tab with my house rules which I may add to over time.

If you see any mistakes, please don't hesitate to reply with suggested corrections.

hi,

looks very helpful indeed.

i have a couple of remarks though:

- attacker modifiers: jumped is +2 (see AS:CE, 2nd printing, p. 44)

- you could/should note that attack & target mod. are cumulative. indirect art. attack with TAG-spotter for instance: you get a -1, but the +1 for indirect attack is still applied, effectively you get a +/-0 modifier.

- target mod.: transporting BA +3 - this only applies to infantry making an anti-mech-attack (see AS:CE, 2nd printing, p. 44)

- you have both standard and advanced rules on the QRS, i would indicate the adv. rules, but thats me  :)

Thank you so much, Starbuck, for your feedback.  (And thanks to FenderSaxbey for the positive comment! :D)

I've incorporated most of your suggestions into the QRS!  Now it's even better thanks to you!  I ended up taking out the reference to Artillery because it's already mentioned in the "common equipment" section and because I ran out of room.

I didn't differentiate between standard and advanced rules, however, because my fear is that it will "clutter" up the document.  So, I guess people wanting to use this document will just need to know if it's an advanced rule and ignore it if so.

Really appreciate the suggestions!

Great stuff! Well done man.
For the advanced rules thing, you could use a colour code, like painting the advanced rules blue or whatever. Put the color code somewhere I. The document (maybe below the to hit probabilities) and you should be fine.

It is awesome ... would also love to have a complete list of special abilities

Awesome!

I think this should be added: Subtract 1 from the unit's Target Movement Modifier (TMM) at Heat Level 2 or higher. SCE p52

This is phenomenal.

Minor suggestion, in the Combat/Damage section, instead of hyphens after “Weapon” and “Physical”, I’d use colons to make sure people don’t think those are equations and you’re supposed to be subtracting something,

Its an amazing resource, but I gotta agree, I really wish it was color coded for what was a special ability and what wasn't so I could find its reference in the book a lot easier.

Was reading through it, trying to think what Antimech attack (Not CI/CI) means... couldn't find anything to reference CI.. anyone know?
(FIGURED IT OUT.. NOT CONVENTIONAL INFANTRY/CONVENTIONAL INFANTRY.)

where Battlearmor gets +1 to hit
and conventional infantry gets +4 to hit.

Not a mistake just overlooking the vast community outside of the US.
To Avoid set paper size as 21cm x 27.94cm  ;D

Great Work, Slight mod made to print on A4 paper.

Do I have Permission to post a Pdf to BGG?

Note: The A paper size scale up and down, the US sizes do not, much easier to create with A sizes see attachment.
