The October game will be something new and unusual. We're going to do a design-your-own Alpha Strike game.
When and Where:
This month's game will be at Games Plus on Sunday October 20. We will begin at 11:00AM but please feel free to arrive a little early.
This game will use the Alpha Strike Commander's Edition rules.
Players will design their *own* forces using the following guidelines:
1) Maximum of
150 points,
including piloting skills and any Special Pilot Abilities.
2) Must consist of either
4, 5 or 6 units. 3) Only units with Alpha Strike cards on the Master Unit List (
www.masterunitlist.info) are eligible.
4) Legal unit types for this game are: BattleMechs, IndustrialMechs, Vehicles, VTOLs, Battle Armor, ProtoMechs, Infantry.
a) Battle Armor units are 1 squad (card) of Battle Armor = 1 unit
b) Protomechs are 5 protos = 1 unit. Protomechs do not all have to be the same type.
This is the ONLY case where a player will be using more than 6 cards in their force.
5) All units must deploy on the board. No off-board units.
6) Up to two Special Pilot Abilities are allowed per force, and must be paid for by their point cost. Special Formation Abilities are not allowed.
If folks would like to play, but do not want to design a force, several pre-made forces will be available.
