MegMekLab Streak SRM Heat issue
« on: 06 September 2024, 06:46:21 »
I noticed that when adding a Streak SRM that the heat shown in the bottom bar is totalling incorrectly.

It is adding:

Streak SRM-2: 1 heat instead of 2
Streak SRM-4: 2 heat instead of 3
Streak SRM-6: 2 heat instead of 4

This affects both IS and Clan builds. I think the totals for AS card creation is correct still, as I noticed this when I was getting big OV values with Streaks despite the lower bar indicating otherwise, so may just be a display issue during creation.

Attached a build with nothing but 2x Stream SRM-6. Should be 10 heat generated (2 movement + 4 + 4) but is showing 6 (2+2+2).

This is in 49.19.1

This is intentional as it's link to the BV calculations. TM pg 303

Quote
Determine Total Weapon Heat: Determine the total heat that the ’Mech would generate if it fired all its offensive weapons,
including rear-firing weapons, in a single turn (Defensive Equipment is never figured in this value). Multiply by 2 the
heat points generated by Ultra autocannons, multiply by 6 the heat points generated by rotary autocannons, reduce by
half the heat points generated by Streak SRMs
and reduce to one-quarter the heat points generated by one-shot weapons.

(I mean I get it for BV calcs, but for constructing in the moment showing the maximum heat generated for everything except streaks makes it harder than it needs to be since you then have to manually calculate the max heat generation possible)
