Delivered from the blast,
Last of a line of lasts,
The pale princess of a palace cracked.
And now the kingdom comes;
crashing down undone,
And I am a master of a nothing place,
Of recoil and grace.

On a completely unrelated note, many thanks to MDM for coming through on that special item that will surely bring me a lot of pleasure every time I manage to use it.

And let it be here said that "flocking" is just English for "shmutz."

The post-wedding cookout. Despite appearances, I hadn't had much to drink, though Mrs. 3CL and I polished off a bottle of Dom Perignon '00 that night.

My sister goes to school in St. Paul.  Can I arrange a cushy gov't job in your administration?

We'll see. I've made a lot of rash promises.

After Minneapolis, we fly into Indianapolis to take GenCon by storm. Geoff, MDM, Snorta is going up with Jimmy and GreatSarcasmo.

Pfft. You're supposed to rock the suit all night.

Well, maybe not all night. Eventually you lose the suit, but only to rock something else.

I WAS going to switch to the seersucker, but the bride made a strong case for casual when we changed.

I dunno, TeamNutmeg wore a kilt and general service dress to my wedding. Hard to top that.

I pity you all the more.

Whaaaaaat? Suits are fun! I usually wear one to GenCon, though not this year, we're travelling light.
