What's the cat's opinion on the cockatiel?

They live in separate houses. The cat's opinion on birds is that they are delicious, except for the lungs, which he leaves on the front step.

The cat will not be transitioning into the marriage with me.

Melanie has many scars from pelican bites. They're apparently rather aggressive.

Has anyone the photochops (I made that up just now, pretty pleased with myself) to turn the sun on my avatar into a sword-and-sunburst?

I'm just trying to ascertain if you are being serious or no.  Based on the 'snicker', I'm guessing its entirely false.  Either way, it fun watching the scurrying.

It's not in the book if that's what you're asking.  Getting GhostBear to facepalm over it, though... that was good.

So what's the freaking point of a 'mech-mounted magshot? I can't puzzle it out for the life of me.

I'm still working on that myself, honestly.  For vehicles, which don't have CASE that often, a 2 point hit is frequently a much smaller problem than the ammo explosion from an SRM launcher (and might be even with CASE since it usually blows the armor off the rear location), although the increased frequency of Crew Stunned results and more frequently hit locations probably balances out.  Under a TacOps optional rule, if your armor is getting thin or you don't see the Magshots being useful in the next turn, you can also turn them off.  I'm not entirely sure but weapon explosions may not be as devastating from the standpoint of salvage.

They don't have AI, as far as I can tell. So it's just basically knocking off one guy per hit.

MG damage (against non Infantry units) at SRM range, with the same mass iirc.

I don't see why MagShots shouldn't do burst damage to infantry, especially since AP Gauss do.  So a little houserule helps out a bit there.

APGR is intentionally a better weapon than the magshot is why.

GreatSarcasmo put up a fine game, but with a handicap of 500 BV, he was outgunned and out-tonned. Even so, he gave me a good deal of trouble, but I managed to kill three of his 'mechs and cripple the third, with my Jenner -C2 and Panther -16K crippled. My Wight and Panther teamed up to core his pristine Valkyrie -QT2 in the last round with incredibly lucky CT hits from both a PPC and HPPC. Josh's poor Locust was blown away by a mammoth salvo of SRMs, and his Wolfhound was hit by everything I had two turns running. If the Valk hadn't gone down, I think it and his Fire Javelin could have seriously messed me up.

That Wight is a sick, sick, sick 'Mech. Possibly my favorite Drac mech to date.  [rockon]

Come to think of it, it's basically the Drac take on a Hollander.

Except that it doesn't suck.

Josh, next time take better 'Mechs.

Talon, Specter, Jenner 7D, Garm, or Osiris.

Seriously, there's no excuse for Feddies to go wallowing around with pissant Locusts and Wolfhounds.  :P

The Hollander was designed to put as many Gauss rifles on the field as possible and it DID that. It's like you were expecting something more!

I've always sort of liked the Hollander if it knows it's role. My favorite Lyran Light/Medium lance is 2 Blitzkriegs, 1 Hollander and 1 Wolfhound.
