He didn't admit it, it was there for everyone to see. ;D

It'd be the same with me if I tried.  On the other hand, I never claimed I know how to use one and I'm not studying to be a plumber, either.

I think the biggest problem, aside from fan financing being shut down, is that there isn't any art for them.

We could bug CGL for it...

I just want an Enforcer resculpt that doesn't look like it got hit in the face with a frying pan.
I love the ENF, but the mini looks good and I'm loathe to see a repeat of the Enforcer I resculpt.

Not especially interested in the 3025 Enforcer; I liked the original except the stupid arm poses.  I don't mind the RE, the legs just need some bulk.  Actually, I might be better off cutting off the original's arms and using the RE's...
I too like the Enforcer III mini but its tiny and again has a stupid arm pose, which I hate.  Its a great mini to paint.

I'd want to see either the Morrigan or the Fennec funded, personally. Might look into it if my raise happens.

I'm not pro-Davion enough to help with those ones, and dislike the Fennec's looks to boot.

That's why I'm interesting in variants but it would be nice if IWM and Catalyst could tie the art to sculpt a little bit more tightly.  I'm not a WYSIWYG person but I do like that aspect of TRO: PP.

By His Noodly Appendage, the Morrigan is hideous.  I'd go for the Cuirass if I was doing anything for the FS, and the Sphinx for the Cats.  The snakes can do it without my help! :P But I'm not liking a lot of the recent Mechs, so I seem to be in the minority.

The Morrigan is awful, it looks like an escapee from early 1990s RIFTS. The Cuirass is dog shit, man.

Personally, I think TRO 3085 is saved from being the worst TRO of the post-FASA era only thanks to TRO: VA.

The Fennec is a half-assed Ost-wannabe, and if I have to put up with the Ebony, the Parash and all the Crappy Cappy Mechs, you can deal with the Cuirass!  Though I wouldn't mind funding a DDC Ti Tsang with arms that don't make it look like it needs a hug.  Did the FS ever get that Templar with a C3M made canon?

I think I only opened TRO VA once, when I bought it.  After that, haven't seen any need.

I'm with Paladin1 here.

A few years back, a senior E-5 at my command was talking about how his division's junior guy didn't know what a Phillip's head screwdriver was.  Mind you, all mechanical rates in the submarine force (Auxiliary MM's, Torpedomen, Missile Technicans, and god help them, Nuclear MM's) go through a "Tools for Dummies" course as part of the pipeline.

When I went to A school oh so many moons ago we actually had a guy in our class get caught cheating on a quiz of "Name that Tool."  I was in one of the first classes to go through the nuclear power specialist A school when things were in Orlando.

Well I spent most of my day painting on three minis.  Two Fire Mandrill mechs, in Mattilla Carol colors, a Warhawk and Shadow Cat.  Those guys are a learning experience.  First time ever painting in yellow.  Fun.  :P

The third mini is a Battle Cobra in Steel Viper Alpha Galaxy.  Now this mini is rocking!  It turned out WAY better than I was hoping for and I am quite proud of the little guy.  As a matter of fact he is sitting here on my computer desk next to me.

Hmmmm.  Perhaps I should send him to the Chatterweb...

The Cuirass artwork is not the problem. The Cuirass stats are the problem. Who would willingly use it?

I would, I don't mind it so much; the SHS are OK given the RAC.  The thin rear armour harkens to the ENF-4R.  Its a Neko mech, to finish off the wounded.

We already have the Javelin and Osiris for that, or the Thanatos.

When did that ever stop the military-industrial complex?  These are the same people that gave you that silly ERLL Myrmidon.

It takes a near-perfect medium tank and turns it into a useless niche machine. 6 LMGs and an ERLL, IIRC? Totally unnecessary.

Whoa wait.  Im not to good on IS stuff but IIRC the Myrmidon has a PPC on it, with some additional weapons maybe, but they exchanged the PPC for an ERLL and some MACHINE GUNS?!?!?

Apparently they're both tracked vehicles or somesuch. Every time the CBT writers try and stick in sneaky corporate malfeasance, I get the impression that Inner Sphere IQs have plummeted sharply after three hundred years of incessant war. Elmer Fudd wouldn't fall for this shit.

Like you need a 10 point holepuncher somewhere when you have a multitude of 5 point hits!  Why hasn't Jalastar created the RAC/2 Myrmidon for direct fire support yet?

They're worried it might compete with their any tank that has an SRM-6 market niche.

I found TRO:VA very useful.  But then, I run used to run a lot of MW RPG games.  Since my players are still Jihaded out, 4th ed. is awful, and Heavy Metal is both out of date, and (I'm told) doesn't work with Windows 7, its going to be a while before I do so again.

But numerous designs from that book were utilized in my games - either directly, or as a basis for what one could actually find on the streets of random city.  As opposed to street cars that have 30+ MPs.

I haven't had an issue running HMP and HMA on my Win7 machine.

I like TRO:VA but it really needs a price list to be useful.  How much does the motorcycle for my PC cost?

Maybe my games are more infantry heavy than yours but I never mind having a few MGs around for smushing the PBIs trying to swarm my line tanks. ESPECIALLY post TRO 3085.
