IF HMP6 is a fully integrated design tool, IE it lets you do vehicles, 'mechs, BA, ASF, and support vees, and IF it has the files for all canon designs available, it'd be a must-buy for me. Otherwise? Well, I have the RS PDFs, and a laser printer, so...
The only reason that I would go to HMP6 now is, as 3CL has stated, if Rick were to integrate all the new toys as well as vehicles, BA & Infantry, ASF & Spacecraft and Support Vehicles into it and not just leave it as 'Mechs only.  I say this as someone who has HMPro as well as HMAero collecting dust because there haven't been any updates in ages.

The dog claims things are going to get bad; Lisa made bacon(REAL bacon) this morning and Rita did not come to the table to beg for it, even when called.

I feel largely the same.  I resisted making the change to SSW for a long time but its convenient and up to date.  I still use HMpro for older mechs, and prefer the GUI over SSW, though I don't have any problem with SSW's strict function over form, I'm just used to HMpro.

Irene.  The earthquake sent Rita into the bathtub for 2 hours.

How about a Jackal 55 against the Wight?  Its Panther-ish, and if you go up in weight to 35t, you can upgrade to a larger SRM or SSRM system.  Its got speed and range AND a tarcomp over the Wight.

Do we want to try another MM game tonight? Melanie is going to a family thing, and I'm here with nothing to do.

Am downloading/unzipping as we speak. Then, once unzipped, I can play BattleTech pantsless (in the American sense at least...)

What's the issue with hosting?

Well, I lost a Loki Prime to heat-induced ammo explosion, and Dan lost a Marauder and an Orion to the same cause, plus a Commando that skidded and blew up. I'd also lost another 'mech in my star and it looked like Dan and Moonsword were going to finish the job, so we called it a night (or early AM for Dan).

Not that early (4am)

Don't forget my Grasshopper that skidded and knocked the pilot out right before you decided that zell was for pansies.

Back and kinda recovered from my Bachelor party. I've never been shot by so many paintballs in my life...
Had a really good time, went paintballing for a few hours, then grilled and drank and then went to an, um, 'Bible study"....
The 'sisters' there really enjoy 'chastising' the crap out of bachelors. the various 'mortifications of the flesh' that were inflicted upon me were pretty hard to explain to the drunken almost-wife.
Hopefully I can get in on a the next MM game y'all play!

Sorry I missed paintballing, Melanie was leaving for Michigan for a few days, so I helped her pack and run errands. NEXT TIME GADGET.

The Lexus took her inaugural voyage with me at the helm today, picking up glue and depositing checks. Now it's a beautiful sunny day, and I think I may sit outside and read and listen to The Clash.

We're going to try paintballing at my buddies farm. he has 15 acres of woods so it should be fun, I'll let you know.
Does the Ley-has drive like a golden dream? I've never driven one, but I imagine it  being an awesome riding car.

She handles very well indeed, wobbles a little around 70-75 mph, but that goes away once you clear 80. There's a squeaking sound it makes at low speeds that worries me, my last car had an exciting fanbelt failure after squeaking, but otherwise pretty great for a 15 year old car.

At least Sarcasmo seems to have had something like an actual bachelor party.

I actually would have been just fine hanging out at my buddies and drinking.  I'd say play BattleTech, but none of them have ever shown the the slightest inclination.  I think we did things that way, simply because that is how most bachelor parties go. And I had a blast, but normally, I'm not a big party-er. Though in my wild youth I did visit the "Sister of Mercy" not infrequently.

+1, he had a good bachelor party going until he went to 'bible study'. He had a good day with his best pals doing something he likes. Once he's married and has kids, time for fun with his pals will be at a minimum.
