Blade.
Correct.
1. Standardization? We'll see about that.
The Blade was the result of standardization protocols put into place by Victor Steiner-Davion for the Republic.
2. I feel the need for speed.
7/11 is still fast. At least for the tables I play at.
3. I'm right-handed.
All of the Blade's weaponry is placed in the right arm.
4. I'm not like my father. Or my mother.
While the Marvel hero Blade's origins are a bit... fuzzy, it appears that his father was human. And his mother... well, soon after he was born she became a vampire. Blade is... in-between.
5. I am in the Major League of the Art of War.
Wesley Snipes was in Major League and the first two Art of War movies. And he played Blade in the trilogy of movies.
6. No variant of mine features my namesake.
No current variant of the Blade has a blade of its own. Whether hatchet, sword, or retractable.
7. My most famous pilot is infamous for a simple mistake. Or ten.
The most famous Blade pilot (that I know of) is Ezekiel Crow, aka the Black Paladin. And a few other names.
8. He died where he made his first mistake.
Ezekiel Crow, real name Daniel Peterson, made his first mistake by allowing a Capellan dropship to land on Liao, in his mind to allow for a resolution of the problems the world had between Capellan and Republic sympathies. Unfortunately, it backfired monstrously, leading to the deaths of thousands, including his parents. Named the "Betrayer of Liao" he fled to the Republic where he became a Paladin, before being forced to betray that oath. When he returned to Liao to redeem himself, he went down fighting.
9. Twenty-four inch.
As in twenty-four inch blade, such as a katana. I originally was going to use a more knife-life length, but feared some might... misinterpret ten-inch...
10. Sometimes it takes one to kill one.
This is the tagline for the first Blade movie.
