I just ordered a bunch of things from the Catalyst webstore last Friday.  Catalyst said on Twitter that there is a "promtional valcano tile, free with $10 purchase."  Will I get this automatically if my order hasn't shipped yet?

Not unless you found it, clicked on "Add To Order", and it was with your order when you checked out.  Yes, it was "free with $10 purchase.", but ONLY if YOU added it to your order.  They only had so many to give away, they're not going to give them to everyone.
To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

I think I saw the volcano tile was sold out anyways...from at least last week

They are doing a scattered release, where they release 20 at a time at random intervals.

From the volcano tile listing.
"There are only 200 of these, and when they are gone, that's it. They're gone. We will put out 20 at a time at random intervals, to give everyone a fair chance to find them and pick one up. This item is FREE with purchase of $10 or more. Only one per cart."

Because to hell with scalpers ripping off fans!  Good for Catalyst for working out a strategy to counter them.

I don't generally buy things outside of the Catalyst site, except minis from IWM...and I know scalpers can be a problem with many different products, does Battletech generally suffer from scalpers? Maybe it's just me, but I would think the market for CBT stuff would be relatively small and not really warrant it

In that case, you would be shocked at what's going on on ebay.

Edit: and, no, I don't by a thing unless it's directly from Catalyst.

For me, it’s typically from my FLGS, Catalyst direct or for special items like metal minis, POD novels or other special items, from wherever they are available, in that order.

In the past year, eBay prices have gotten crazy with BattleTech products.  I even saw what looks like some Chinese knock offs of the CGL minis being sold on eBay.

yup

the price rise really started after the release of the HBS game. the pandemic affected BT stuff, like all collectables, for a double whammy.

If you use Facebook, I'd recommend getting on the trade and sell page for Battletech and sell off any extras that you don't intend to use. Mechs like the Crossbow and Huntsman should go fairly quickly. I don't see those mechs offered much so people would likely grab them as fast as they can.

Yeah I have and they’ve been great: but as I echo what’s been said before some of them link to their own EBAY pages where their scalping (rare but it happens), and I’d rather give money to Catalyst directly of course. But I also know how supply and demand works in regards to production (ie: bulk is better lol).

Rec Guide vol. 22 will be out this Friday, Dec. 3

Rec Guide vol. 23 will slide back one week to Friday, Dec. 17

And the concluding volume, Rec Guide vol. 24, will come out on Friday, Dec. 24 as planned.

Also IDK if I’ve ever said it: but you guys are awesome!

Awesome!  I love it when the guides align with our game weekends-
"where did you get that variant?"
me: "what, this lil thing?  it came out YESTERDAY!"  ;) ;D ;D ;D

(yes, I've been using them, averaging about 1 per guide, and they're a BLAST on the table!!

(But I think we're probably skipping the Saturday game after 24 comes out... ;-) ha ha ha

Thanks for the update. These Rec Guides have been ace. Is there any update on Tamar Rising? Might we see it in the next few weeks?

I had to deal with one over the weekend, and I've just moved a half-dozen more posts.  Please knock it off.  I don't want to issue warnings because you're having customer service issues, so please don't force my hand on this.

Blood Avatar is available at Barnes & Noble.

Edit: The new Light Horse short is available as well. They're also both at the Catalyst Store.

Suggestion if the warehouse blow out is in progress:
Any chance of making the clan and inner sphere ‘retaliation pack’ (game of armored combat mechs and Mechs from the clan invasion box)  from the KS? I know that the inner sphere mechs being sold as con stuff at one time.

I would wait until after the international supply chain problem get resolved first. A good chunk of our Black Friday goodies may have originally been meant for the Cons.

The supply chain will have to resolve itself first, to be sure.  That being said, those 10 mechs in the Retaliation pack are a great value for any Inner Sphere player, because other than the Commando, they fit pretty nicely in every Inner Sphere faction list.  And we can all make up a reason to have a Commando in our forces right?

Side note: as much as I love my Marauders (and that is a lot) I think the Retaliation Pack was my best Wave 1 purchase.
