(Answered) Remote Sensors and BA
« on: 17 August 2018, 19:09:15 »
As referenced in my other question, the latest Tactical Operations errata for page 375 lists the number of Remote Sensors that can be monitored by units with various equipment installed.  It appears that list considers only the "Light Active Probe" intended for installation in BattleMechs, as per the other question, even mere "Improved Sensors" for Battle Armor allow each suit to monitor two sensors (just like a regular Active Probe).

The question now becomes "how many Remote Sensors can a suit without Improved Sensors or an Active Probe monitor"?  Most combat vehicles have the equivalent of one ton of Communications Equipment built in as part of their control tonnage, allowing them to monitor one Remote Sensor.  Does Battle Armor have the same capability?

They do not.  TM 212 specifies the unit types that get it (BattleMechs, ProtoMechs, combat vehicles, ASFs, and conventional fighters).
