Here's the idea.
Take an armless mech. Not the Stalker or Catapult, but the old kind people made, back when the rules said that if you lost an arm, any hit there would miss, so people made mechs without arms and piled the armor and weapons into the torso. Take the armless mech and...
Remove the side torsos.
Integrate the cockpit into the CT.
Increase the weight of the CT to 30% of total struture weight, from 25%.
Increase weight of legs to 22.5% total structure weight, from 10%.
Increase CT armor maximum by 9 and Internal Structure by 3.
Add 6 slots + the 6 Head Slots(w/Equipment, cockpit, sensors, ect...)
And now you have a "focus" mech.
Rules for "focus" mechs:
Shots that hit the arms are an automatic miss. But...
Shots that hit the LT or RT are a REROLL. Same with the rears.
Shots that hit head hit CT.
+1 to movement speed due to more of the mech being legs.

Mech has massive space issues and doesn't work well with armor types, so I think it's balanced overall. Should be at least as good as quads.
