if the Black Knight actually turns out looking like that it will be glorious.  it's funny, i never liked the redesign until i saw David White's TRO:3145 version.

looks badass, guys.

yay!  my wife will get her Nuptup! (Ares painted like the Pokemon Vileplume.)  it will go well with her Ponies and Decepticons...  the Orochi and Hatamoti Sana will go well with my 3145DCMS Project.

do we have a Dragon II concept yet?

It's actually so close to release, I sent an email out checking to see if we'll see either a painted mini from CSO or an IWM production pic in the next week. If not, then I'll go ahead and post the final sculpt pics.  ;)

Will the Arrow IV on the back of the Dragon II be a separate piece?  I'm sure there are DC fans out there that would love to mod it into a dragon or grand dragon, but a big lump of pewter like that can be a challenge to file off.

It's the head.  The clix version had an awful head.   You could see the inspiration from MW4 in the body, but the head looked like it had been sucking on lemons or something.

Those are certainly beautiful prototypes.  Ares is going to be a monster for sure.

Why would it have hands? It certainly doesn't have hands in the art or record sheets.

The Black Knight is modeled after MWDA version which was basically variation of the Mechwarrior 4 version which was No-hands and all lasers tube version.

And when the pic loaded the first thing I made out was the left arm,

The Hatamoto Suna has some nice elements, but the pose is awfully stiff.  Hopefully that's not the image to be used for final sculpt. The Black Knight though just oozes awesome!  I'll have to have one of those, even if I don't have a unit to put it in.   O0

The proposed part count should allow for some flexibility when building the Mech.

Here's hoping the CamoSpecs take on that Ares will have the same scheme used on the covers of FM:3145 and TRO:3145.

Also, I like how each of the legs has its own hex base, with a fourth hex in between to hold it all together.

By the way, will there be separate listings for each of the Ares configurations, or will the alternate weapon options be put into the same pack?

If they keep coming out with minis that look this cool you may just drag me in to 3145.  ;D

Or to  be more accurate I may have to make up some 3145 units, so will have to do some reading and find out what units are still around that I want to build.

I will be painting one that I secure (in the Hastati's colors) like the cover :)

I have to secure one first of course, but after doing the Doloire in that scheme I really enjoyed it and will start a small Republic unit for the Ares and republic friends

This is awesome O0 so cool to see some previews of what will be emptying my bank account!

Also I've been out of the loop for some time now but are the 3d renderings the beginnings of mechs to be printed similar to how the LAM's were done, Or just a reference for the sculptors?(I assume the first?) Does this mean were seeing the end of hand sculpted mechs and other goodness? :(...and something I've always wondered what are the master sculpts(greens?!?)  made out of, it's not just green stuff/apoxie/any other form of epoxy sculpting putty is it?  :-\

You can salvage the DA version by slicing off that Ghu-awful dog-muzzle. I redid the arms to match David White's art too.

But when the new mini arrives, I shall buy several - I have never bought the original bandy-legged Python escapee mini, and I shall retro-fit some to serve as 4th War era models.
