I'm not sure if verification of new accounts are manually verified or not, but I wanted to mention that there's currently a fairly long (multi-day) delay between signing up and receiving the email verification email. There also seems to be a pretty similar delay between submitting a reset password request and getting the link via email. That one surprised me a lot, as having a person involved in that seems abnormal.
Is something going on with outgoing emails getting queued up or is this normal?
