It's been a while. Figured I'd make a thread for various Support Vee designs I'm throwing together in my spare time.
Some of these can slot into canon just fine, others may be specifically for my Vaults AU timeline. Some, like this tank, will be in both categories once I post some variants.
As always with support Vees, I do the cost and BV calculations by hand because I don't always trust the construction software, so take em with a grain of salt.

Arjuna MBT:
The Arjuna dates back to the earliest days of the Terran Hegemony and the Age of War. The defense industries of the Indian subcontinent on Terra were not up to par with the rest of the new Hegemony's military-industrial complex; in a desperate bid for funding, they put together a passable medium tank known as the Arjuna with the intent of filling out the Hegemony's garrison forces. While this did lead to some successful sales, it was not enough to prevent the absorption of the ailing company by Skobel. A few of the company's engineers emigrated to the United Hindu Collective soon after -- one of whom had secretly kept the Arjuna's schematics on their person.
The Collective's army did need defensive designs, but for the most part the country as a whole was uninterested in being involved in the brewing conflicts surrounding them. The UHC's elite Messengers of Shiva did pick up the Arjuna and its upgraded variants as a staple of their units for several decades, but most of the tanks produced on Panpour wound up exported to the Federated Suns.
Most of the Arjuna's weaponry was turret-mounted, apart from a hull machine gun; it consisted of two small missile racks and a rifled cannon, backed up by another machine gun in a coaxial mount. This armament was quite sufficient by the standards of the early Age of War, though advancements in metallurgy quickly rendered its main gun obsolete. An AC/5 retrofit was eventually put into place that allowed the tank to soldier on for a few decades longer, but without more modern armor or construction, the Arjuna was a technological dead end. It was finally retired once the Reunification War was over.
