(Answered) Actuator Construction Stats
« on: 01 June 2013, 19:46:42 »
I know that actuators take up 1 critical slot each, but I cannot find if they do or do not have weight attributed to them. I'm planning on taking an existing chassis and removing the hand actuator, and subsequently, the hand, and replacing it with a weapon, E.I. a PPC. When I remove the hand and corresponding actuator, will I be freeing up weight that wouldn't be freed up it I didn't remove the hand and actuator? Does removing the actuator reduce the number of internal structure points?

No, to both questions. Actuators have no weight and don't affect internal structure points.
Internal structure is solely determined by the 'Mech's weight (the same holds true for all other unit types that have internal structure).
The solution is just ignore Paul.
