My Life at War is still around and kicking. This time over at Tumblr and Patreon. Authors also provide extensive background commentary. I totally loved detailed descriptions about certain movie genre.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights errant, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

This is like the exact opposite of the correct time to be moving your work to Tumblr.

What's something similar to Tumblr without the knee jerking reactive corporate panicking people in charge have?  I've not seen someone that's like format Tumblr has platform wise. I wonder where those webcomics went to?

It varies.  I'm friends with a few artists online who had been heavily using Tumblr and they're finding it difficult to locate adult-content-friendly replacements without going to an actual porn site.  DeviantArt has become increasingly draconian over the last year, and there aren't a lot of other options.  A few have gone with Patreon but that of course doesn't do anything for your visibility.  Some people are trying out Twitter.

And the really sad thing is that this actually isn't a knee-jerk reaction on Tumblr's part: internal memos have been revealed showing that they've actually been planning it for most of the year.

Newground?
Its more amateur video games hobby site.  I got account with them last week, but i found stuff there not that good to my tastes.  I like the way Tumblr is, but alot people i followed have left on principle that censorship is being done heavy handedly.  I don't want distract this from our talk about Webcomics, but didn't Newgrounds that good for that sort thing.

Newgrounds also has, or at least has had, issues with trolls and harassment campaigns against people.

So back to webomics, has anyone found any good ones recently?  I feel like the circle of comics that I read keeps shrinking and I'd like to expand it.

Is the nature of webcomics changing?  I found the ones i follow through the years starting fade, while new ones haven't really popped up.

I have found a good one: MHFAP! NSFW and don't meet forum rules, so you need to find it on your own.

Guy wakes up from cryo sleep, he can walk right off the bat, he sees world has changed (post-apocalypse), and he finds lots of different monster girls. As I said: NSFW.

Stina and I just got back from Half-Price Books, where I picked up a Schlock Mercenary book. Between the usual prices there and a coupon, it cost me less than three bucks. The store did not notice the autograph on the cover. Until we got home, I did not notice that it had an additional autograph and sketch inside, and that it was numbered. I is a happy Zug.

SO....the end is near for the Schlock's Mercenary.  For the folks who don't know, this webcomic been around 20 years  :o :o.  The artist does his stories in book style story arcs, with that's said, book 19 just ended. On the page he announced that this marks the beginning of the end of the series, with 20th book to be last huzza for it.

I'm sad, this has been one few webcomics since it started i've followed.  It's changed, art improve, sense of humor has changed bit, the background stories are far more serious than advertised.  So i'm sad, but i'm glad we're getting one more book out of them.

There will be more stories set in the same universe after Book 20, just with different characters.
