Printing maps
« on: 10 January 2019, 16:29:21 »
Amazon has some decent printers or around 250 bucks that can do 13"x19" color prints of sheets that can be bordeless.
Any one mess around with printing their own maps on these "large format" printers?

Have you checked out MapMaster's (totally Moderator authorized) thread?  He has much bigger (and simply awesome) stuff in that price range.

yep, I sell for HP, you can do your own but honestly you could make a custom map in megamek and get it printed at a print shop much cheaper

I saw those maps before 120 bucks for a 4x6 map. I would rather have the ability to make my own map and print it.
Large format printers can be had for 200 bucks with ink for the 13" by 19" size.

He also does 4x8 maps (which are gorgeous too), but I appreciate wanting to make your own.  Just wanted to make sure you were aware of the available resources out there.

give it a try, i recommend the HP7740, while it doesnt work for the instant ink system, its got some excellent page yields per dollar, and after a firmware upgrade can accept a 3000 page black cartridge
