Wasn't it supposed to be Q1/19?  Seems to me I came out and guessed late Q2 - early Q4, but I can't remember.  Not that I really enjoyed Shattered Fortress, but I want to see the Clan plotline finish.

I believe last Gencon, Brent said he's aiming at a GenCon 2019 release. I may be mistaken.

I am somewhat shocked to realise that five years ago I said I expected ilClan 'some time in 2015', but wouldn't be surprised if it was 2016 or later. I certainly didn't expect to still be waiting in 2019.

It'll be out when it's out. Maybe this year, maybe in a few more years, maybe never. By this point I'd say that putting your hopes on any specific date is a bad idea. Just relax, wait, and play some games. IlClan hasn't been released, but there has been fun BattleTech-related content that I never expected would even exist.

With pattern recognition being what it is... I just think no one should get their heart set on an August release or whenever it is. This book's been announced and delayed again and again for a very long time. Entire other books, entire video games, have been announced and released while nary a hide nor hair of ilClan.

We should focus on what we have, you know?

Fair enough. The more information the better. I just think it's probably better for our overall expectations to clarify the difference between "at GenCon 2019" and "not before GenCon 2019 at a minimum".

If it's not at GenCon 2019, which remains a possibility... let's not get cranky. That's all I'm saying.

Let's see. CGL split ilClan like George RR Martin split "A feast for crows" so, a Feast For Crows came out in 2006. Dance With Dragons, the split off part came out 5 years later in 2011. As such, with Shattered Fortress coming out in 2018, I suspect we'll be waiting until at least 2023 for ilClan.

That IS what people mean when they say "BattleTech is game of thrones in space" right? ;P

Also TRO 3145 & FM3145 installments came out in 2013, and thats 5 years before Fortress. So, what's another 5?

Less snarkily (is that even a word?), I note GenCon is Q3.  Thus I might see dead tree sometime after that, Q4 or so.  Christmas will be good for me this year.
