LAST STAND ON ITABAIANA
Logistical Hub LAW-8i, Tesouras, Itabaiana
Irece Prefecture, Draconis Combine
April 9, 3098
The Ghost Bear Dominion had been pressing its assaults on the Nova Cats for over three months, and with the first wave of assaults complete, the Dominion planned to begin the second wave. Khan Kabrinski had ordered Beta Galaxy to assault the Nov Cat logistical hub (LAW-8i) on Itanaiana. In addition to the strategic logistical hub, the Dominion felt the Nova Cats were using the system to move troops through Irece Prefecture. However, due to rising anti-clan sentiment attributed to the Black Dragons, all Nova Cat military forces had actually been rotated off world. The LAW-8i facility and most of the Tesouras continent was garrisoned only by Combine forces, in the form of the Third Pesht Regulars and some elements of the Ryuken and 1st Ghost that were caught on route to another system.
Largely outnumbered, the Combine commander Tai-sa Nanami Ueno, conducted multiple probing strikes using Nova Cat designed mechs. This ruse was an attempt to have the Ghost Bears believe there was an additional Nova Cat force on planet and to slow down their assault. Unfortunately the opposite happened, and the Ghost Bear offensive quickened. Galaxy Commander Vigo Hall was under orders to avoid Combine forces and only target Nova Cat forces and facilities. The multiple strikes by Nova Cat equipment however, made Hall believe the Nova Cats had integrated into the Combine forces and all Combine mechs were now acceptable targets. Ultimately it was this assault that brought the largely neutral Draconis Combine forces into the war alongside their Nova Cat allies against the Ghost Bears, and the Second Combine-Dominion War was born.
Play out the following scenario as members of the attacking Ghost Bears Beta Galaxy or the defending Draconis Combine Ryuken & Ghost regiments.

SECOND COMBINE-DOMINION WAR
Operation BLUEPETER - Wave 3 - Trondheim
As per their laid out plans by both Coordinator and the Nova Cat Khan to coordinate efforts against the Ghost Bears, the Pesht defeat on Itabaiana would signal counter offensive against the Dominion. Code name Operation BLUEPETER, this would be a multi-front military operation.
Targeted by the DCMS's High Command, Trondheim Star System was a Clan Diamond Shark administrated world which was being used to refit Ghost Bear clusters participating in the war. It's logistic importance to the Dominion's War effort, the Gunji no Kanrei Kiyomori Minamoto convinced the Coordinator to allow him to send a task force to assault the planet using two regiments and a WarShip.
In Mid-March of 3100, two regimental task force would arrived escorted by the DCS Draconis Drift in system. The Combine group would push it's way through Dominion aerospaces forces to enter orbit.
