While one would mae a terribly great read, that's all it would be. So I picked the one that would also make awesome games. The third is a turd, a total snooze-feast.

All three topics interest me, but a return to the game world in the aftermath of the Jihad? That gets my vote, with Covert Ops coming a close second and Interstellar Expeditions coming a close third.

Interstellar Expedition got my vote since the other take place after the Jihad but its still taking about the same dirt that have been dealt with since forever.  Stuff blew up.  People cried.  Stuff got rebuilt.

I would like to see more people just say "see you never again you crazies" and leave known space far away.  That way we might get something new in the game instead of rehashing everything.

I voted for Solaris, Post-Jihad. I'd like to see what's happened to Solaris after all the big fights between WOB and the various Independent Mechwarriors.

Interstellar Expeditions executing covert ops on Solaris VII?

Actually, that doesn't sound like all that bad an idea, to be honest.  O0  I know you meant it as a joke, but it sounds quite do-able.

That was basically my motivations also. Interstellar Expeditions have not been done, so it would add something interesting.

Solaris 7 - too specialized. Plus, we already have sourcebooks and rulebooks about S7.
Covert Ops- after the Jihad with all kinds of covert ops and assassinations, I am in mood for something else.
Interstellar Operations - Yes, that's it! Back to my science-fiction roots. To boldly go where no man has gone before.  ;)

I picked Interstellar Expeditions, because, who wouldn't like a little Indiana Jones in Space, complete with long lost Star League Fortresses filled to the brim with deadly technological traps.

Nah, the real reason is: I like IE for AtoW games, since it gives an excuse to throw a bunch of very different characters together without having to construct a Mercenary unit first.

This!

We have plenty from previous source material for cov-ops and Solaris (and we know theres something in the pipeline about Solaris).

Can we make it a very strong preference not to use nukes?

BattleMechs < Nukes.

This is a game primarily about...BattleMechs!

Thus liberal application of nuclear devices seems...somewhat self defeating.  If I want the nuclear fire option I'll go re read alternate history Cold War era fiction.

IE sounds pretty dang interesting too, done right, but without further information or clarification Solaris gets my vote.

I picked Interstellar Expeditions, for the others I already have more than one sourcebook.
Also I think it will be a great source for AToW, as this is a get out of your cockpit and into the action field.

Interstellar Expeditions, definitely  [rockon]

By far has the biggest potential, and could easily be the most refreshing from the three.

Interstellar Expeditions as well. This sounded promising when it was introduced in ISP, and has not been, AFAIK -but I may err-, has not been developped yet to its full potential. Let's see what you developpers can come up with on that matter!  ;)

It would depend on what is in these products.

If it's just going to be a new version of MechWarrior's Guide to Solaris, I'll pass.  If it's going to be closer to the box set and the Reaches with a duelling system and rules for gambling and how to run a Solaris League season, I'd definitely be on board with that.

I thought the Guide to Covert Ops was a poor followup to Intelligence Operations Manual and one of the worse BT products ever made.  The only way I would even consider buying it would be if it was an online only update to the various Intelligence agencies.

I'd be very excited about Interstellar Expeditions if it was mostly concerned with what and who is in the Deep Periphery.  The closest we got to the was Explorer Corps and even that was pretty limited to the area between the Inner Sphere and the Clans.

Going by title alone my first choice would be Interstellar Expeditions, Post-Jihad then Solaris, Post-Jihad followed by Covert Ops, Post-Jihad

IE to have the campaign rules for expeditions sounds interesting, I have always enjoyed solaris but while covert ops sounds good I just like the sould of t he others better.
