Challenge: 300 XL

Due to popular demand:
Say you are a planet with production facilities for almost everything (Mechs, Tanks, Aero, components, all in old SL tech) but you can only turn out 300 rated engines, what would you build to maximise diversity across your troops to cover all eventualities?
Money is not an issue but all Mechs of the same tonnage need to have the same structure and armor, so be careful where you choose Endo and/or Ferro.
Please try to come up with a Mech for every role on the battlefield you can think off.
Extra points for Combat Vehicles and Aero.
If you think XL is too cheesy for all units, you can use normal 300 reactors as well. In that case for each tonnage you need to choose the reactor type.

Once I get through helping Herb, I'll take a whack at:

10/15/10 at 30 tons

6/9/6 at 50 tons

4/6/4 at 75 tons

and

3/5/3 at 100 tons

Why, yes... I do have a thing for jump jets...  :D

Ah, the 300XL, the only motor an army needs. I have a 300 series of omnimechs that probably predate this version of the boards. I'll see if i can hop in the way back machine dig them out of my archives.

I've done things like this before:

Mechs
Vizier Assault Mech: 100 tons, 3/5 movement, XL engine, XL gyro, 304 points standard armour, 12 double heat sinks. Remaining space: 55 tons, 39 crits.
- Command: 3 LRM-15(6t ammo), ER Large Laser, LB-10X(2t ammo), 3 Medium Laser, C3 Master, 2 double heat sink
- Combat: 2 LB-10X(4t), 2 MML-7(4t), ER Large Laser, Plasma Rifle(2t), TAG, C3 Slave, double heat sink

Bey Heavy Mech: 75 tons, 4/6 movement, XL engine, Endo Steel, 224 points standard armour, 12 double heat sinks. Remaining space: 39.5 tons, 27 crits.
- Command: ER Large Laser, 2 LRM-15(4t ammo), Plasma Rifle(2t ammo), 2 Medium Laser, ECM, C3 Master
- Combat: ER Large Laser, LB-10X(2t ammo), 2 Plasma Rifle(3t ammo), 2 Medium Laser, TAG, ECM, C3 Slave, double heat sink

Pasha Medium Mech: 50 tons, 6/9 movement, XL engine, XL gyro, Endo Steel, 168 points standard armour, 10 double heat sinks. Remaining space: 23 tons, 25 crits.
- Command: LRM-15(2t ammo), ER Large Laser, Medium Laser, 6 Jump Jets, C3 Master
- Combat: 2 MML-7(2t ammo), Plasma Rifle(2t ammo), 6 Jump Jets, C3 Slave

Sipahi Light Mech: 30 tons, 10/15[20] movement w/MASC, XL engine, XL gyro, Endo Steel, 88 points standard armour, 10 double heat sinks. Remaining space: 7 tons, 23 crits.
- Combat: 6 Medium Laser, C3 Slave
- Scout: 10 Jump Jets, TAG, C3 Slave

I really like the 10/20/10 scout build, in particular.

(Note that TAG is super-abundant because this was a force designed to use it well - lots of semi-guided LRMs, Copperhead arty rounds, and laser-guided bombs)

Ok, General cavalry 'Mech...60 tons, endo-steel, the 300XL for 5/8 speed, 5 jump jets, 3 ton gyro and standard cockpit, 11.5 tons of standard armor (184 points), and armed like a Warhammer (2 PPC's, 2 medium lasers, SRM-6 and 1 ton ammo, 2 MG's and a half ton of ammo, and a CT-mounted flamed. Both ammo crits in one side torso with CASE).

Funny - this is essentially the ComStar "Clanbuster" setup: Make the best possible quick-refit use of a bunch of 300 XL engines...

For the sake of simplicity, I'm just gonna reference my post from a challenge thread from over a year ago.
The thread in question allowed generally any level construction tech, but limited it to 3025 era weapons, sans the Blazer.

I'll give a quick overview, the actual thread post can do the rest...

Cheetah - 30t 10/15/4 Quad with 3 Med Lasers on a Turret
Genpac - 50t 6/9/6 trooper style with a PPC, LRM-10, and 4 Med Lasers
Tackoma - 75t 4/6/4 Heavy with a AC/10, 2 Lg and 2 Med Lasers, along with a SRM-4 and a Guardiam ECM
Vincent - 60T 5/8/5 with a Hatchet, AC/10, and 5 Med Lasers
Bombast - 100t 3/5/3 with 2 AC/20s, 2 Lg Lasers, a LRM-10 and a Sm Laser.

Though I like C3, that would not be exactly Star League. Otherwise some nice ideas.
When i did this back in the 90ies, I was trying to fit all the specialised Mechs in as well. Anti Aircraft like Jagermech or Rifleman, Artillery with Arrow IV and so on.
In later times i would relegate those jobs to vehicles instead.
