(Answered) Mech Mortars and ammo costs
« on: 28 January 2011, 20:09:38 »
On page 373 of tactical Operations, it states that unless otherwise specified ammo fired from any Mech Mortar is assumed to be Armor Piercing (Shaped Charge).

On page 409 of Tactical Operations it lists the cost for both the weapon and base cost for ammo (per ton).  The example of the Mech Mortar/1 being 7000 for the tube and 10,000 per ton of ammo ( base AP(SC) as listed on page 373)

On page 417 of Tactical Operations, list price of AP(SC) is 28,000 per ton.

Which price for ammo is correct, and how is the price of other ammo affected.

Saying that because the equipment isn't up-to-the-minute, bleeding-edge tech therefore not a threat is like saying an M2 Browning isn't dangerous to modern infantry because it is 100 years old.

Greetings,

I believe you have the 1st Printing of Tactical Operations. We corrected this error in the 2nd Printing. Page 409 should list the ammo cost at 28,000 per ton.

All other ammo cost is as list on page 417.

Best,
