WoB vehicles
« on: 04 October 2012, 12:15:52 »
Hey all!  Gonna paint up a bunch of WoB vehicles and am trying to decide on the scheme...  I am hoping someone has the answer to this question as I can't find it in my source books...

Do all WoB divisions have the same proportion of vehicles?  Or did the Shadow Divisions/Light of Mankind units have fewer vehicles and more mechs, compared to the standard divisions (white)?

Thanks for the help!

No they are each a little different, I want to say Sarna has the type of division each was, and the Ratios (M/V/ASF/BA). How many is a bunch, and how many Mechs, BA, and ASF do you have? The Assault Triumph's Cargo capacity is a good start for a WOB Unit, 24 Vees, 6 ASF, 6 Mechs, 6 Squads of BA.

Generaly better equiped divisions also have larger portion of Mechs (and BA) than less well equiped divisions. So those divisions that have older equipment they also tend to have more conventional forces.

I can't remember witch old CS sourcebook it was that explained it but if you have noted those greek alphabets after the name of the division. That is what tells the composition of the division.

That description is in FM: Comstar. It won't really help you with the Shadow Divisions since they have no letter designations, but given their intended usage as shock troops, you could pick one of the proportions that's very 'mech-heavy.

Thanks Weirdo, I just checked it through.  So I think I will paint the vehicles in the standard white, and then I can really use them in any WoB scenario, whether it is Shadow Division/LoM/Standard, etc...

LOM I would think would always be in some other colors other than WOBM, Vandenburg White Wings are an exception, they crashed the NAIS as Cappies, Got a foot hold on Terra as the 21st Century Lancers IIRC, even the Shadow Divisions were known to use False Flag Ops, Dress up as Feddies and Attack the Cappies, etc.
