Design the Monster

Luciora has painted up a dang nice mini of a Destroid Monster

So what would it take to stat out something that approximates  the original?  Supposedly the Monster clocked in at 285 tons with quad 40cm cannons and a pair of triple missile launchers.

This obviously calls for a Superheavy, but what can we squeeze on there?
I'm rarely right... Except when I am.  ---  Idle question.  What is the BV2 of dread?
Apollo's Law- if it needs Clan tech to make it useable, It doesn't deserve those resources in the first place.
Sure it isn't the most practical 'mech ever designed, but it's a hundred ton axe-murderer. If loving that is wrong I don't wanna be right.

Did a couple of attempts to match the figurine.

There wasn't enough critical space to make artillery work properly.

I went with 4 Gauss and 6 ER Large Lasers

Used Clan Tech to make it all work out.

An Alpha Strike is safe to employ but not every turn.

It would be dangerous to face but its weakness is ant-mech infantry who could cripple it's mobility in only a few turns of leg attacks.

i tried to fit sextuple thunderbolts but they made it hard to fit enough armor and heat sinks, and i didn't want to downgrade the artillery cannons so i settled on single thunderbolt launchers that have multiple tubes.

it is dead slow, and ammo limited, and doesn't mount as heavy of armor as it could in theory carry, but it has immense close fire support capability.

Yeah I think 4 Thumper artillery pieces and 6 ER Medium Lasers is what I put in it at one point in time.  I think mine had like 8 or 10 tons of ammo for the Thumpers -- it's a strategic bombardment asset.  It only had a 1/2 movement.

Note: that was one crit shy per arm of the Arrow IV’s and four Thumper artillery pieces. And ammo would have had to go to legs and/or CT.

And pretty sure that’s a no, but will see.

You can fit four LTAC’s, a few tons of ammo, 2 ATM-3’s and four tons of ammo, and about a total of 23 DHS (Clan), but then you’re out of room and have tonnage left over (400 XL, max Clan ferro, Clan endo).

And as each LTAC does 20 heat per shot, you’d only be sinking less than 2.5 of the LTAC shots per turn if you fired all four at once. Not really worth it imho.

Yep, and even with the 400XL, I still had tonnage left over but no space to put it to use.

Just going off of Megamek Lab, but...

Mixed tech, 200 ton superheavy, all Clan equipment.

4 Thumpers (w/ 3 tons ammo), 2 Arrow IVs (w/ 5 tons ammo).  200 rated standard engine, 10 DHS.  Hardened armor to use up your tonnage.

Everything just barely fits.

Leg transfers to CT, not to side torso IIRC. Side torso and leg are not adjacent.

Leg damage transfers to side torso. I'm fairly sure split equipment goes the same way. SSW allows it at least.

Your best bet is to extrapolate a 300 ton mech from the existing super heavy rules, and then mount 4 full up Long Tom artillery tubes, and then 3 T-Bolt 10 to 15s in each arm. The main guns can also fire nuke shells up to a 50 kiloton yield, and if you want to use the Robotech 1E variant where they swapped out the missiles for particle beams due to some of animation showing the MAC II firing bursts of energy, whether 3 PPCs per arm.
