so musing on
a question asked in the aerospace forum... i give you a light engined Reiver.
decided to have a little fun in how much i could push the concept of the Riever. the engine itself doesn't really give you much to work with.. but DHS did. in the end i decided to make the thing nastier at its dropship hunting, and just update the tech used..

double gauss will do a number on dropships, and it can reach out a lot farther than the AC20's of the older models. and instead of an LRM and array of SRMS, its a quartet of MML7's with enough ammo to lay some hurt down at any range. and since all of those are low heat, it can still open up with everything. plus it got an armor upgrade and a few extra tons.
