SLS Ashanti/Ashantii
« on: 19 February 2013, 15:27:44 »
In Historical: Liberation of Terra Vol 1, the flagship of the 14th Fleet commanded by Admiral Nina Alexander is given as the SLS Ashanti on page 48. However, in Field Manual: SLDF on page 178, the name of Admiral Alexander's flagship is given as the SLS Ashantii. I'm guessing one is a typo, but I was wondering which is the correct name?

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

It's named for the historical African nation (now part of Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire) which is Ashanti (one i).

As an aside, that region's heritage is part of the makeup of the Canopian Magestrixes since the time of Carla Centrella (whose husband Curtis Yakubu was Ashanti).

Thank you :)

It's nice to think that old cultures are continuing to crop up in the BattleTech universe in one form or another
