Please do! It was a lovely brick of happiness. I was thrown slightly by the four Cyranos packed in one bag, but they were clearly labelled.

And the fact that - twice - the Black Friday orders made it down here before Christmas.

Looking forward to a lot of assembly to keep me busy into the new year!

Hey Speck any idea on when we are getting 3050 style metal phoenix hawks and metal stingers yet? Also do you have an idea when the release schedule will be updated for next year?
Thanks and I hope you have a Happy Holiday and a Great New Years!  :cheesy:
I may have a low amount of posts but I have a PHD in Battletech and mechs older then most people on this board!

Do you mean metal version of the new art for Phoenix Hawk and Stinger?

I plan to update the release schedule after the holidays.

Would love to see more ilClan designs out, like the Blood Reaper 3, Naga II, Alpha Wolf OmniMech, Doom Courser OmniMech,  Kontio, Gyrfalcon 5, and Ion Sparrow OmniMech.

Continuing the trend of releasing the box set mechs and producing a metal Vindicator would be very welcome

Yeah, that would be great.  Especially for those of us who didn't feel like buying another starter box for one mini.

Seconding metal Vindies - except scale them back down a little, please. The intro box one fits in with the heavies IMHO.

Alpha Wolf OmniMech
Iron Cheetah
Speck has mentioned that Catalyst is doing those, so it will probably be a little while before they get released by IWM.

Veeeeehicles.

And mech or vee, no redundancies either, please. If a chassis is already out from either IWM *or* Catalyst, then that production slot would be better used making something that has no mini at all.

That's what I said when people wanted a VV1 Ranger. I pointed out how the MWDA minis are a still a dime a dozen, and easy to pop off of their click bases. I was told that being available on the secondary market means that they're unavailable.

Not terribly surprising for a game that's been out of print for something like 15 years.

Back on topic, I have a question about the Wasp and Valkyrie: if they're (basically) the same as the plastic minis from the Clan Invasion packs, why haven't they been put up for general sale?  Given that they were only sold in plastic in a single lance pack each that have now become rather rare, it seems like it would be an easy choice to put them up for general sale in metal.

Does indicate the quantities produced that it's taken this long for stocks to become low, but yes, all good things must come to an end eventually.

I'll let Speck handle the "why" of that question on the Wasp & Valk...but, the ForcePacks aren't really rare...however I get why you're saying that. Catalyst is just not doing a very good job at keeping them in distribution. They are still being produced, have not been discontinued, so restocks should be coming in at some point.

The out of print was referring to MWDA I believe.

The wasp and valk were taken off the webstore after a limited run

https://ironwindmetals.com/index.php/categories/cat-battletech/cat-bt-nr/product/battletech-20-5145/category_pathway-2

Yes, and I'm wondering why they were only given a limited run instead of being put into general production.

I thought it was mentioned somewhere that they went through their own redesign before the plastic redesign so they took them out of general distribution.

Part of it I'm sure is marketing.  You have an item that's only available for a limit time, people's FOMO gets triggered, so they rush to order one.  While they're already placing an order, they start thinking about other things they wanted to pick and and figure, "long as I'm here..."

Yeah, but how many other minis do we have multiple versions of, and you can still get them, all?     NOT counting the FASA/RP Unseen sculpts of course.  Sure, they push/sell the "New Darling", but they keep the older ones around also.

I remember hearing it was ORIGINALLY because, in the last HG Nonsense, IWM had NOT been mentioned in the lawsuit, and since the lawsuit had been dismissed against CGL, HBS and Piranha Games, that did NOT exclude IWM from being singled out at a later date.  And Frankly, IWM just doesn't have "Money to Burn" for such lawsuits.

So IWM can make them, but NOT "Sell" them, which is why CGL was selling them at GC and other Cons.     Yeah, tell me that wasn't a HUGE Pain In The Ass for both companies!
To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

Something to bear in Mind. Defending the BT IP is Frowned upon here.

But IWM is making and selling the nuSeen Marauder and Warhammer now, so whatever concerns they might have had about lawsuits is obviously over.

And I was the one who originally thought that the metal Wasp and Valk were different from the plastic minis, but according to Speck they are not.
