Nice. Hopefully they give us better pics soon. Surprised Falconer hasn't changed more. I'm hoping that the legionnaire doesn't have exposed bullets anymore, although it looks like something is still there...

As for forum updates vs. the videos... well, there really aren't many people who post here. The stats at the bottom of the of the front page suggest only a few thousand people use the forums per day. That isn't much reach. Some of us (meaning not me) might be old guard who wield higher than normal amounts of influence in the community or local communities...

But there just aren't enough of us to really justify putting in effort to cater to. As much as I'm never going to listen to an hour long,  podcast news release and would vastly prefer a few paragraphs here. .

But there just aren't enough of us to really justify putting in effort to cater to.

This site sees a lot more guest views at pretty much any given time than it has active members using it, so that tells me more eyeballs are finding their way here than one might think. Which makes sense, because this is the official forum for the game.

And if Lorcan Nagle can slap together meaty, informative, comprehensive summaries of these videos and post them here completely on his own time and his own dime, so to speak, surely CGL can be arsed to put forth a little more of an effort in that regard on their, y'know, official forums/website.

Thanks just wondering.

I see that Barnes & Noble has a listing for the McCarron's Armored Cavalry ForcePack up on their website (even though it's listed as 'Temporarily Out of Stock Online) and none of the stores within 100 miles have it is stock (i.e., it's not been released yet).

I also see that they have the Wolf's Dragoons ForcePack on sale at 30% off at $21 US.

Those prints look a bit puffy compared to what we got before.

Probably 3D prints used for finalization of the design.  If they were quickly printed, they probably used a larger setting.  That could give a puffy look.

Plus, it looks like the plastic is slightly translucent, giving them a soft focus effect due to the harsh lighting. As with others, I expect these to be up to the same quality as everything else we've seen from the new plastics.

I do not disagree, just weird to put something that looks like that out when they presented the merc stuff last year and it looked so much crisper.

It is really freakin' bright in that GenCon booth.  The previous photos from KerenskyCon had definitely a lot softer lighting.  Which, yes, that means these are proto prints, not Liya polymer.

Which is why I am comparing it to last year that had orange plastic that was easier to see detail- not anywhere else.

I really regret not taking pictures of the Highlander IIC, side by side with the Mongrel mech I saw last weekend.  There was a definite quality issue between the two.

In what way? Highlander IIC much crisper/better detail or the opposite?

So anything at GenCon that maybe seem to be a new release or just came out there exclusively.  I think one few times I've not seen much about what's happening there.

From past experience, what's the average delay between GenCon release and PDF release at the CGL store? I recall with Tamar Rising it was 4-5 months but that could be chalked up to shipping delays with DTF copies.

The "Commander's Bag Thing" is the "Field Commanders Case", and unfortunately, the pics I took are all too large to post.  :embarrassed:

One half holds 2 small foam trays for minis (rectangular spaces), the main part of the other half holds books (the one in the display case had Tac Ops, but you could probably fit 2 books that size in there), and 2 smaller compartments that can hold dice.

There's been some discussion of the case on the CGL Discord tonight, you can fit three books into that section, it seems.
