It has 2 stub arms which are the ER meds.  No hand acutators.

I cannot tell from the picture but it looks like it has a hand down?

Makes me wonder about giving this thing handheld weapons for special operational considerations . . . and while the Falcons may not have deployed it in combat much, I COULD see the IS doing it for just that sort of described attack.  The Foxes could sell this thing as a deep mech raider- face it part of the problem when punching a raider force through enemy lines is having something keep in contact.  A force of mech raiders will need to break contact with hovertanks which could follow them, and ideally when trying to execute such a move either your ASF keeps enemy VTOL/ASF from following or you are faster/outlast them.

Hmm....So fast that it can generate a TMM underwater...all-energy armament...used by the Republic, who also fields the Undine...

Anyone wanna take a stab at fielding this thing as part of a modern CAAN unit? :D

And no need for MASS or Harjel, because if it is actually hit it's probably dead, anyways. Well, I'd prefer something else, but it probably works for coastal raids.

Does the Undine have magclamps? Because hauling ass from one river to another as an Undine Taxi could be a good use of the Roadrunner.

No, but it can ride omnis, so if you have some Celerities alongside your Roadrunners... :)

Also, the idea is funny enough that you win 1.21 internets.

Oh god, an Omni-Roadrunner would be hilarious.

Stupid, but hilarious.

Well... see now that I type that, even... you know what, being able to switch for HMLs, flamers, that kind of thing... that might actually be useful. Huh. Might have to tinker a bit when I get home from work and see what I can come up with to justify its existence.

Well, pulling the lasers for pod room gives you exactly as much space as a Celery, so anything it can do... :)

Whoever designed this thing did a bang-up job, honestly. I love seeing unique 'mech designs and the Roadrunner is as a nice little piece of work to look at.

And no need for MASS or Harjel, because if it is actually hit it's probably dead, anyways. Well, I'd prefer something else, but it probably works for coastal raids.

If you can give it a full-head ejection system, you're probably saving everything easily salvagable anyways.  :-\

Of course, i don't think the clans ever adopted that, even though you'd think something that improves Mechwarrior recovery as much as that would be something they're all over.

Beat in mind too that the Clans likely would disagree with the 'salvagable' option for the pilot. After all, if he got shot out his Mech he failed in combat, right?

And we can always breed more...  :smirk:

So, a cockpit ejection system? On mech destruction, ejects the whole head, excluding a small column with the pilot seat on it.

Given it's the Roadrunner, maybe the head is ejected on a giant spring.

Ah the Roadrunner.....I remember when my friend and I first saw the flyer and based on the art there, he started calling it the MadKitten.

I guess we'd need new variant for sure, since Remote Drone Command Console (from Interstellar Ops) requires special cockpit to handle drones.
