I was wondering if someone who has this mech could give me a hand. What is the assembly process like?

Looks like 8 pieces (2 arms, 3 legs, one hip, one torso, one base)

Shouldn't be to bad. Clean it up, test fit the legs to the hips, and then glue first. Give it a couple hours to get good and hard before adding torso, then arms. (Or glue arms to torso while waiting)

No-Dachi has a counter-argument. Nothing further? Ok.

Yeah, I just glued one leg to the hip(eyeballing the angle), and once that was dry, I glued the other ones on one at a time ago that their feet were all flat. Once the legs are done, the rest is easy.

Does this thing come with base or do i need get usual big or flat hex base from Iron Winds.

Usually being "cheap" i flip the regular hexbase over.

No base. I just made one by tracing a standard base into a couple layers of cardboard and styrene.

I don't have one yet, but it is top of my list. I just need a good paint scheme for it.

What do you use as far as glue? I am stuggling to find a good glue.

I also eyeballed the legs. It wasn't as tricky as I anticipated

for glue I use zap-a-gap. after scoring the surfaces i'm going to glue with an xacto, a little dab of it does the trick. bonding takes anywhere from a few seconds to over a minute so you have to be patient if it doesn't stick right away.

Loctite Professional Liquid. At this point, I won't use anything else.

As far as paint schemes go. I would gone with the Stone Brigade black and white skeleton or any high end brigades assigned to prefecture X. Their still main operators of that handmade mech.

So Pricipes and Hestari? I think those are the names.

Your correct, i was on my phone in my car when i sent that message.  xp

Looking at XTRO: Republic III, Triskelion was assigned to the Sixteenth Hastati Sentinels for trials. They eventually were seen in combat fighting and mystifying the First Liao Guards in a False-Flag raid in 3148.

If any unit aside from Stone's brigade it would be the Hastati Sentinels.  Unless you want go with generic paint scheme like forest camo or desert.

Hastati are my go-to when painting Republic stuff. Very easy to paint. Cover the whole thing in a dark charcoal gray, then paint the various equipment-y bits like joints, gun barrels, and the like. Hit the whole thing with a coat of black wash or ink. When that's dry, give it some gold trim, do the cockpit, a bit of weathering, and boom. Done mech.
